Hi I ran the update (to the Current version) and was asked to restart Sierra Chart.

Did that twice, then rebooted computer.

After update Numbers bars work intraday but no historic delta is loading delta or volume.

Please advise

Thanks Jack

AAPL reset per instructions
BOWLLN not reset - seems to be same problem on UK shares

Thansk for your email, I have worked through that and got the message that the download was complete on AAPL.

In Numbers Bars Calculated values I have rows of zeros for volume and volume difference on Daily setting

I've sent the message log separately - it is full of Array is unallocated msgs several times each second

Thanks Jack

The Numbers Bars and Numbers Bars Calculated Values do not work on Historical charts. You would need to be using Intraday data, and then it is best that it is tick-by-tick data.

Also be sure that Sierra Chart is set to a Tick by Tick Data Configuration. Follow the instructions here to do this:

Hi

Thanks for your reply. It was all set for Tick by Tick but your reply got me checking historic/Intraday settings.

I'm trying to get Daily and weekly for Numbers bars on stocks and found a workaround
but please tell me if what I am doing gets accurate data:

So let's say its on IntradAy for 1Hour (using the buttons top right on the toolbar). That's fine and gives me rows of data in my Numbers bars Calculated Values

1) If I now press the Daily or Weekly Buttons I get rows of Zeros presumably because Sierra resets to Historic not Intraday.

However, if instead of using the Daily button I

2) alter the F5 Chart settings SETTING to 1-0-0 then basis stays on Intraday and gives me daily figures (without Sierra resetting To Historic and producing rows of zeros)

1 appreciate 5-0-0 will not give me accurate weeks due to Bank holidays,
but is the calculation correct for Days and multiples of days please?

Thanks Jack

What you are doing is the right way to do it. You may also want to set the Chart Data Type to be Intraday Chart Only, that way it will always use the Intraday data and not switch to historical if you accidentally select the Daily (or higher) Control Bar button. Refer to the following:
Chart Settings: Chart Data Type (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Date Range and Limiting Method menu)
