Daily OHLC study for evening session is overwriting Daily Session

Hello,

I've added the Daily OHLC study to my chart twice. One for the overnight and the second for the day session. Please reference the attached screenshot on how I've configured the chart's Session Times.

The problem is the overnight Daily OHLC study does not stop when the day session begins. For example, when the day session price action exceeds the overnight Low, instead of the Low being represented by the L, it continues to be represented as ONL (Overnight Low). Please see additional screenshots attached.

I want the Daily OHLC study that runs for the Evening Session 15:00:00 - 05:19:59 to stop when the day session starts and then start back up when the evening session starts.

Thank you,

Tom

I use that study, but only added it once, not twice (not one for each session). Works for me and doesn't overlap.

What are your study settings for the Daily OHLC?

Yeah, I'm completely messed up. Sorry, I was up all night and not thinking straight.

Looks like my study isn't working the way I thought it was, either.

Digging into it now. If I get it figured out, I'll let you know.

I can't get it to work out, either.

To get the Evening Session separate from the Day Session, you would need to have a separate chart that is just the Evening Session times and put the Daily OHLC on that chart.

Then on your chart with both sessions, you would use the Study/Price Overlay to get the Evening Session displayed on the chart. Then you would have a separate Daily OHLC that is just for the Day Session on that chart as well.

Refer to the following for the Daily OHLC:
Daily OHLC

Refer to the following for the Study/Price Overlay:
Study/Price Overlay Study

And refer to the following for Session Times:

Thanks John, that worked.

However wouldn't it be easier to create a setting/input similar to the "Display on Day Session Only", and call it Display on Overnight Session Only?

Would it be possible to submit this for a request for enhancement on the next version release?

Thanks again for your help.

We have tagged this as a Feature Request. It could be done, but we are busy with lots of things, and this is not a simple thing to do (checking the dates and times is always a bit involved).
