Hi Denali/CQG user-

I cannot seem to get a 10 second chart to open for NQ. It is always displaying 1 minute bars when I try and set a 'seconds' bar period.
It works fine for ES, but when I switch the contract from EP to ENQ, it will not display a chart with seconds, only minutes.

I am using Intraday Chart->Bar Period Type set to Days-Mins-Secs, and setting this to '0-0-10', but getting a minute chart displayed for whatever reason.

Make sure this option is enabled:
Data/Trade Service Settings: Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Other Settings)

Make sure this is set to 1 Second or 1 Tick:
Data/Trade Service Settings: Intraday Data Storage Time Unit (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Settings)

And then:

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

The suggestion above did not work.
I have tried this already before contacting you.
I tried again today the same process. Also restarted Sierra just for good measure... Still not working.
Cannot seem to get a 'seconds' chart going for NQ (ENQ), but other symbols are fine. Tried this in new chartbooks etc, same problem.

Observation:
Doing the above, and setting the chart period to '10 seconds', all previous days are only showing 1 minute bars- but for some reason, the last minute bar of this Friday's session (16:59:00 2021-05-07) is broken into 10 second increments; but none of the bars before that are.

I just sent you guys the message log for analysis.
Please note this behavior:
This just randomly started working once the markets opened today at 6pm EST. The new bars printing were all 10 second bars; but all prior days remained 1min bars.
So I tried the 'Delete All Data and Download' option again (this is the 5th time since yesterday), and this time it worked- but oddly only after the markets started trading again this evening.

We are looking at this now. What we see in the Message Log it is very unusual, a multistage download which should not be occurring, and we do not know why it is happening. Just give us a few more minutes.

We discovered a significant problem, with the downloading of historical data, from the Denali data feed for CQG users. We are fixing it.

Once this new version is out- do I need to go through all my chartbooks and 'Delete/Download' data for all different symbols?
Would this have effected historical data I've been using this week, e.g. for ES, and I have not noticed?

The new version is now out.

Update instructions:
Software Download: Fast Update

For most CQG users this problem would have gone unnoticed other than longer time for downloading historical data because there were two downloads occurring instead of one.

do I need to go through all my chartbooks and 'Delete/Download' data for all different symbols?
In your case we do recommend this.

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

Seems to be fine now.
Do you need another log?

Cheers

No, the issue is resolved and as long as you are not having any further problem, there is nothing more we need to look at.
