Hi,

I cant seem to get real time data. I tried to follow the instructions to connect to my AMP account, but nothing happens! I went to file, data/trade service settings, service -SC Data - All Services, then pressed OK, but nothing changed, it didnt even give me the option to press 'connect to data feed' and charts still delayed. Any help please

You have not properly connected to your AMP account. If you are setup to use CQG for your order routing with AMP, then follow these instructions to connect your Sierra Chart to your CQG account:

The follow these instructions to ensure that you are setup to get your data from us:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Integration with Trading Services

And finally, after the above is done, open your Chartbooks and select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service to change your symbols to CQG symbols.

I tried to connect to my AMP account via CQG WebAPI (data/trade service settings, service - CQG WebAPI) where i put my username and password in but it just says my username and password is incorrect.

Are you sure CQG links up to my AMP account ?

im sorry but i find your messages very unhelpful. I had real time before and all of a sudden it stopped working so why can i not get real time data?? This is a joke

The first ever time I connected to a live feed for furtures was last month whereby it seemed to connect automatically. Now its stopped working because i think you need to connect to your account once a month, tried to do that and all you've send is follow the same instructions you gave me before and then you say contact AMP when I kind of know that the problem is on your end.

Surely you can offer better advice than that

ok so Crude oil seems to work after I contacted AMP and CQG but i cant seem to get E-mini S&P 500 to work - just says that ive got the wrong symbol but what other symbol is there than F.US.EPM21

It looks like you made the connection to your CQG account, and then it appears you changed your Service setting back to SC Data - All Services. As such, the symbol for that service setting is ESM21-CME.

You should open your Chartbooks and select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service in order to ensure that you have the correct symbols for the service that you have currently selected.

But, note that you have only the NYMEX with Market Depth for nonprofessional Trading accounts exchange active, therefore you will NOT get real-time data for the E-Mini S&P 500 (ES) as it is traded on the CME exchange.
