My fiber optic internet connection is extremely fast, however, my charts are extremely slow to populate. When I scroll forward and backward there is a lag. I have never had this problem before except over the last 3 days. Sometimes it is normal other times it is extremely slow. I check the internet speed as well as other platforms and I only have this problem with my charts. What can I do to fix this problem?

Refer to the following:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.48 - Basic Steps to Resolve Performance Issue in Sierra Chart

The issue is not related to the Internet connection.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

None of those solutions work. I did not have that problem 4 days ago or ever before that.

One more time, when I use the scrolling button on my mouse to scroll back in time on the charts it is slow and lagging. It never ever happened before. End of story. . . It works fine when I open the charts. After 10 minutes the scrolling gets very lagging. I can scroll and scroll and barely go back on the chart. I have to close Sierra Charts then reopen the program in order to be able to scroll back on the charts. I understand if you are not technically capable of solving this issue but do not pass on the buck by giving me a cookie cutter solution that doesn’t work. I would rather you tell me you cant solve the problem and I’ll go somewhere else.

This is not a problem for us to solve. This is something that you need to determine what the issue is and resolve on your side.

You need to go through all the items iin help topic 30:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often

However, let's first start with this:
. After 10 minutes the scrolling gets very lagging.
See if you notice the GDI objects or memory increasing significantly. Let us know. Refer to:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.28 - Memory or Graphics Device Interface Object Leak

Run Sierra Chart in Safe Mode as explained.

Also refer to:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.31 - System Memory Not Releasing

We just do not like to get the middle of of user set ups, and the complexity of those, and system performance issues. This is where the problem is.

Hi SC support.

My Sierra chart keep lagging sometime when Discord is running on standby, no streaming is running. The moment I close/exit Discord it get back to normal speed. Task manager not overloading or GPU at all.

Any ideas why this is happening since 2024 new SC updates?

Regards

Waseem

We can not speak to this. It implies that Discord is using an unusual amount of resources and causing a problem. We can not say why or what, we do not have any insight.
