So when using High Low for time period, I chose Angle based on gradient, I get two choices of colors. Despite choosing a darker color what I get is always a lighter shade.

Is there a work around? Thanks.

To begin with, you should not be using the Auto-Coloring options for that study. Those are for studies that have a line that varies and then allows coloring based on that variation. In this case, you are just dealing with a straight line, so that should be set to None. Then just set the color as you want it to be for that item using the one color option.

Refer to the information here on Auto-Coloring:
Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Auto Coloring

And refer to the information here on the color settings:
Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Color

1. How can I have 2 tone visual aid on stair steps whenever there is a new high or low?

2. Just out of curiosity, when angle based gradient is selected, what is the purpose of the 2 color tabs circled on jpeg if they do not represent the colors of stair steps on chart?
