hi support team,

NQU20_FUT_CME chart setting= combine trades into original summary trade

large volume trade indicator
*draw mode= based on total volume
*volume threshold= 5

when l have above setting, number bars shows data different than large volume indicator
number bars indicator show 12 contracts buy side but large volume shows 16 contracts.
l couldn't understand behind of the logic why LVT indicator shows data bigger then number bars
If it shows that sum of all trade of both sides at same price which bigger than volume threshold
but when l set draw mode as based on max volume, it shows highest volume

my question is how l can set indicator then it shows that sum of all trade of only one side at same price which bigger than volume threshold

pls check attached screenshots one of them is time and sales, the other one graph
thank you

dear

large volume trade indicator
*draw mode= based on total volume
*volume threshold= 5

when l use above setup
for example same price levet 7 ask trade, 10 ask trade and 11 bid trade are occurred, it shows as a red mark(bid trade) and total volume 28

l hope you may solve the problem soon, l really need this indicator

Sorry it has taken us so long to get back to you on this. We thought there may be an issue, but it turns out that there is not.

What you are seeing is correct. Since you are based on Total Volume with a threshold of 5, what you will get for the Large Volume Threshold Indicator is a summation of all the trades that had a volume greater than 5 at that price. In the example you gave in the first post, there were the following two trades that make up the value of 16 in the bar at 08:10:34:
- Time:08:10:34.005 Price:10551.50 Volume:6
- Time 08:10:34.015 Price:10551.50 Volume: 10

dear john,
thank you for your answer

l am aware of it, actually my point is that the indicator shows a summation of all the trades that had a volume greater than 5 at that price with both side (ask trades + bid trades) instead of one side (ask or bid)
- Time:08:10:34.005 Price:10551.50 Volume:6 (bid trade)
- Time 08:10:34.015 Price:10551.50 Volume: 10 (ask trade)

IMHO,this indicator purpose is to show strong side which large trades occured. if it shows a summation of both of bid and ask trade, how we can understand which side is aggressive buyer or seller. pls kindly check below example;

same price level 7 ask trade, 10 ask trade and 11 bid trade are occurred, it shows as a red mark(bid trade) and total volume 28. in this example there are 17 ask trade and 11 bid trades, indicator shows total volume 28 as a red mark (bid trade), so l understand there is strong buyer but actual seller side is aggressive when we check in time and sales.

Anyway,is there anyway to see a summation of all the trades that had a volume greater than 5 at that price with only one side (ask or bid)

It is not available at this time to just see the one side (ask or bid). We are working on that functionality, but other priorities have come up. Hopefully we can get back to it soon, but we can't make any commitments.

Dear John,

is there still no way to see a summation of all the trades that had a volume greater than 5 at that price with only one side (ask or bid)

Sorry, but we have not had a chance to update the study yet. There have just been other priorities.

Dear John,

it will be really appreciated if you add the function which mentioned earlier. l mean it is better to show total volume per ask or bid side instead of both sides which the other platform does.

thank you.

Actually, we did just commit the changes to have the Total Bid/Ask Volume option work properly. This will be available in the next Pre-Release (v 2219). It will display the Total Bid or Total Ask volume at that price, whichever is the greater of the two (whichever is dominant).

We are continuing to work on this study to enhance the options that have been requested, both in this thread and in others.
