My chart and time and sales are lagging for around 10-20 seconds on market open.

This happens even with lower volume. I can then open more charts with substantially more volume after market open and have zero lag issues.

My computer is not lagging, my internet is not lagging, nothing is lagging except the data service and only at the market open.

My other data service I use for Level2 data at the same time is not lagging and is displaying normally when opened on the exact same stocks.

I am using U.S. Equities (NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX, BATS) data service

How exactly are you determining that there is a lag. Tell us one of the symbols you are looking at. We need precise information. We will have to look into this. If there is a lag and it is not due to your Internet connection, then the issue must be coming from our source data feed.

I am determining there is lag via the chart and time and sales no longer updating, then quickly catching up to current time after 10-20 seconds. I then no longer get lag after this point even with more charts open and more volume stocks.

I checked my CPU/GPU/RAM levels during this time, nothing close to capping. I have really good internet and considering my other data feed is updating fine at the same time, I can also stream a video without issue.

This is happening on every US stock, SNRE, MTP, RMBL, IBIO, CLSK, OMI, COHN to name a few.

This lag was also not happening when I was just using IBrokers data feed with a faster refresh rate.

Yes we can confirm this was an issue at the 9:30 US Eastern open on 2020-07-23. There was no updating for about seven seconds and then there were updates and then no updating again for about 10 seconds.

It is hard to tell where the origin of issues like these are unless we are carefully monitoring the whole set of processes at each point. But there is evidence that this was an issue on the Barchart Open Feed side. So we are going to let them know about it now.

Update: We are not totally sure whether the problem was on the Open Feed side. There is further evidence indicating it might not have been. There are some things we are doing now which may resolve it. We want to know if you continue to see a problem in the coming days.

We want you to read over this section 4.16:
Prices / Data Falling Behind: 4.16 - Monitoring Sierra Chart Data Feed Performance from Perspective of Server

And enable the option for the detailed heartbeat logging. And if you have the issue again post the most recent lines of that data around the time of the problem here so we can look.

Update: We have confirmed what the problem is. At the 9:30 AM US Eastern time open, there was a large burst of activity, more than usual, and the message processing took about 20 seconds, and during that time, the outbound data was just getting buffered and not sent. We will resolve this.

It happened again today, I didn't have time yet to look into the heartbeat logging.

I will do so for Monday.

We apologize, we did not mention that we only applied the software update to one server so it can be evaluated. On that server the issue is confirmed to have been resolved. On the other server, we did observe the delay again. So you were connected to that other server which was not updated.

It appeared like there was a problem during the first approximately 20 seconds. The problem was the data was not getting sent out immediately and was being buffered.
