I have been running Sierra on Linux for about two months and my experience has been uniformly good. That is especially true after ertrader figured out the taskset -c wine launch to get around xorg/threading issues during start up. I bought a Windows laptop just to run Sierra for $450. While that laptop is barely responsive, Sierra is *fast* and responsive on a Linux laptop with identical specs.

While learning the trading dom to get ready for live trading, another Linux issue has come up. The attached dom.png shows an error message. This error message, about a ConfigureTradeWindows Tabs exception, came up when I brought up the trading window for the dom using ctrl-shft-t. It comes up every time I press a button on the trading window. This looks to me like an xorg issue.

Would any of the many helpful Linux users on this board have a solution? A good solution would get wine or xorg not to trigger this exception. Short of that one can disable the message log from showing up (General Settings Window: Never Automatically Open Message Log or Trade Service Log (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Log >> Log)), which appears highly inadvisable.

When all of the dialog windows in Sierra Chart are replaced away from these Microsoft Dialog type windows, these problems will go away, we expect.
