I have customized my DOM as shown in the attachment. There are a couple of things I am looking for:

1. The DOM does not show the number of lots traded at the last tick. How to get that information?

2. Is there any easy way to reset the volume profile so that it begins from say right now or 5 or 10 minutes back? Any way to set up buttons for those tasks?

OK, I know how to do item 1---add a column for last size. Your thoughts about item 2 would be appreciated.

2. There is a new study we added to do this. It is called Volume by Price Reset Button.

We are working on documentation for that and it will be out tomorrow.

Thank you. Some numbers are missing from the prices column. For example, 2988.50 is missing in the png above. Is there a way to fix that? Also, is there a way to change the font for the prices column?

You need to automatically set the chart DOM scale as explained here:
The Chart DOM Scale: Auto Scale the Chart DOM

Yes the font can be changed. Refer to:
Graphics Settings: Fonts and Text Appearance

I changed the Trade DOM quantities font and the font for the other columns does change to something much nicer. However, the font for the prices does not change (see attached dom.png). That is not an issue anymore because I am happy with the prices column for now.

If I hit F6 from the DOM window, I do not see the volume by price with reset button study (see attached), although I do see it from any regular chart. How to get that study into a DOM window? Thanks.

You need to change the Chart Text font for the font for the column of numbers.

Refer to the information here:
Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Adding Studies on a Trade DOM

We will add the Volume by Price Reset Button to the list.

Please add a note to this thread when the Volume by Price Reset Button study is added to the list of studies available for a DOM window.

I am on linux. Would any of the zip installers here https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SCZipInstallerList.php have that functionality? Thanks.

There seems to be a minor bug in the new release. If I try to close a chart in a chart-book using ctrl+F4 or by clicking Close (see attached png) the chart does not close.

Can you please explain briefly how the volume by price reset study works? As you can see from the attached png, I have added that study but the documentation is not up yet. I do not see any button anywhere.

Here is the documentation:
Volume By Price Reset Button

You need to add an Advanced Custom Study Control Bar Button for the resetting, to the control bar.

vbp.png shows the settings for my Volume by Price Reset Button study. acb.png shows that the Advanced Custom Study Control Bar Button has been added as CS2 and the button does show up. However, when I click CS2 there is no reset. Perhaps there is some setting in Volume by Price Reset Button that is missing.

I believe my settings follow your instructions now (vbp.png attached). However, the button does not work more than half the time and the other half of the time it does not clear everything and start from scratch. Perhaps there is something in my volume by price setting that is getting in the way.

I have attached another screenshot taken seconds after pressing the reset button (when it worked). You can see it failed to clear more than a minutes worth of data.

Perhaps I can bring up another point about customizing the trading DOM. If you look at the pngs above, the background has a different color on the bid side and the offer side. I don't like that because one must look at the inside bid-offer in a diagonal manner and the way the background is colored makes you look at it horizontally.

1. Is there a way to have a different background color for just the two rows with the inside bid-offer?

2. If not, is there a way to change the background color on both the bid and the offer side to the same thing?

I have looked at global -> graphics settings but could not find anything pertinent.

Trade DOM Bid Background, Trade DOM Ask Background ... do some digging first, this kind of thing wastes support time.

FYI, I experimented a little with the volume by price reset button. Every time the button is pressed, the start time in the corresponding volume by price study changes to the current time. The issue might be that the volume by price study is not clearing the display or perhaps I need to apply some additional setting to it.

Try changing the timeframe of the DOM to something other than the default 5-mins.
When you hit the reset button, the VBP will include volume from the start of last bar of the DOMs underlying invisbible chart.

Thank you. That is probably it. How do you I change the time frame of the invisible chart that underlies the DOM? I have looked under chart settings (F5) without any luck.
