Hi

Background:
- a user shared one .cht with me for the first time
- two files appeared in my Account control panel.... the first named "Sierra3.cfg.new" and the second "ES.cht"
- not expecting two files, I opened ES.cht, and got a message asking if I wanted to apply new Global Configuration? Not wanting to override my settings I replied no. the ES.cht opened several charts which were blank.
- I suspect ES.Cht is looking for settings in the Sierra3.cfg.new file

Questions:
- does ES.cht need Sierra3.cfg.new?
- will accepting "Sierra3.cfg.new" override my local (personal) Global Settings?
- can I apply my settings to ES.cht?

Thanks in advance

The reason the charts are blank is unrelated to the global configuration.

You need to use this command to translate the symbols:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service

Thank you, Translate symbols to current service worked.

Does this mean I should ignore the "Sierra3.cfg.new" file?.... for my education, what should a file of this type do?
