Hi SC support,

this seems to be a new issue related to sc-rithmic connection change effective 1 Jun 2020. i was able to connect today (1 jun 2020) after following SC's instructions on thread <[Sticky] - Rithmic Bridge Files and Updated TLS Certificate Files Needed for June 1, 2020 and Onward>

however when attempting to download historical data, log shows 'symbol' problems. back month contracts on ES are missing a "-CME" suffix for rithmic symbols & the download fails. only the current day's data is downloaded

"Error downloading historical Daily data for ESH17. Historical data request rejected because the symbol is not valid"

please help. i am intending to switch to SC's superior Denali feed, but need to resolve this issue to trade for now

Thank you

Not sure we can help with this.

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

Also refer to which apparently you already have:

Hi SC Team,

is this possibly due to a change in symbol mapping, from a recent rithmic update? in data folder, current contract month for ES is <ESM0-CME.dly>, where as all other back months do not have the new "-CME" suffix. please see file attached

the suggested solution of deleting & downloading all data works in the background. .dly files are all deleted & redownloaded. however, the historical daily chart only shows the current one day data. i have also updated <global settings\symbol settings> & made sure the chart follows the new symbol settings. also tried <date range in file>, <use number of days to load>, <use date range> & definitely made sure <continuous contract> is used

these leads me to think that it is a old-new rithmic symbol mapping issue. hopefully SC Team can see other possible solutions?

Thank you

We are aware of the issue. We are working on this. It is due to an external provider problem.

This problem is now resolved. The cause is not what you thought.

Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.
