Tbond it appears that Sierra is incapable of helping anyone who uses OEC. This is frustrating to me. So you are seeing the OEC data updating correctly with the right prices, and Sierra with the strange gaps EX: ESH4 weekend data, correct?

Sierra Chart is trying to help - seems like OEC is to fault for being unresponsive.

My ES and NQ data is fine; my currencies and energies data (6E,6B,...QM) are missgin data and neither service updates to fill the missing data. OEC "current" data is updating though - it's the "historical" data servers that are the issues.

I just installed version 1093 and tried using OEC historical and SC historical - tried delete/download data using both options and no data is downloaded.
In the case of the Sierra Chart Historical Data service, you need to use a two digit year.

The reason for the missing data has to do with a problem with the OEC FIX simulation server not being available. We have reported the problem to OEC. So this is an OEC issue. Once again they OEC has been notified. Not much we can do until they correct the problem.

UPDATE -

I have contacted OEC myself. The "historical" data is showing in OEC Trader charts so they have told me the issue is on Sierra Charts end. Specifically I was told this is probably occurring because the historical feed from Sierra has not been collecting data from OEC. They stated they would be contacting Sierra Charts to have you check for such an issue.

PLEASE someone get this issue corrected ASAP.

I have the same problem with OEC. The backfill process does not appear to be working as before. It was fine last week.

I am running older versions of Sierra on 2 computers so my OEC connection is not FIX. Versions 924 & 943.

I am no computer wizard but would an older version of Sierra software help (as an interim solution)?

If so perhaps SC Support could identify which (older) version of SC works with OEC's current data, and then all we need to be told is 'how we go about uploading the required older version of SC's software'??

but the open position fills are showing at $0.00 and the P&L is showing $0.
So you are saying the open Position Average Price is 0? If so this is not currently supported FIX/FAST. We will see if OEC provides this data. If not we will request it from them.

To answer why we supported FIX/FAST is because Sierra Chart is removing support for .NET and therefore Sierra Chart would become incompatible with OEC if we did not use another interfacing method. From our perspective, .NET is a heavyweight, problematic, and proprietary Microsoft technology . It is not compatible with other operating systems and it is difficult to work with from a program that uses what is known as native C++ code.

The issue is on the OEC side because the simulation FIX server is not available and this is the source of the problem.

It will not help to use an older version of Sierra Chart.

Update: OEC has brought online the FIX server. The problem is resolved. To restore the missing data, refer to help topic 7.1 here:

OK, will check, but just FYI, not using the "simulation" version, unless simulation refers to something else

It does not matter whether you are using the simulation server or not. That is what is used for historical data in the background. However, the data is the same as the real-time server.

This thread is being closed. There are too many people posting in this thread about different issues and it is getting confusing.
