Hello Support,

I hit some download cap for historical daily data (intraday data download is fine):

HD Request # 10027 | Error downloading historical Daily data for CARV. ERROR: Max downloads per month exceeded. Downloads = 30238 | 2020-05-13 23:16:52.480
HD Request # 10027 | Received 0 records from 00:00:00 to 00:00:00 (0.0 seconds) and wrote 0 records for CARV | 2020-05-13 23:16:52.480

I cannot find any limitation for Delayed Exchange Data Feed in the documentation. Can you please clarify the issue?
Thank you in advance.

There are limits and they previously were daily limits as explained on this page:
Sierra Chart Historical Data Service

The daily limits have been replaced with a monthly limit.

We can increase the limit for an additional cost like maybe 15 USD for additional queries. We have to check on the details.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Can you please update this feed and documentation on price and details, when you come up with the solution, or should I open an account support ticket for new billing/additional info?

I download daily historical data for NASDAQ and NYSE once a day, so the desired download cap should be higher than those numbers.

We do have to pay for these queries and that is why there is a limit. We will update the documentation. We just have not yet implemented a method to pay for additional queries.

No need to open a ticket. We will look at this later today.

Is there any update on the issue?
If I understood properly from the documentation, even with paid Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed the cap still will be active. Or paid data feeds do not have the cap? It would make everything easier.
With the current cap I can not do much unfortunately.

We are going to be adding a new option to be able to pay for more queries, for the month, in the next two days.

Thank you for implementing the feature so fast.
I found the number of already used download requests in "Account Management >> Activate Services" (e.g. "Used up a total of 1111 out of 30000.").
Is there a way to query the number of already used download requests using ACSIL?

Hello,
I observe strange behavior with download request counting.
Problem: In the night outside the trading hours, several hundreds *.dly files were downloaded. I expect, that when I switch a chart symbol to one of the downloaded symbols with disconnected data feed, *.dly file timestamp won't change for that symbol, but it changes and the file is updated with today's prices. At the same time, at www.sierrachart.com -> "Activate Services" the number of used up download request goes up. I though, this should only happen when Data Feed is connected.

Sierra Chart configuration:
1) Real time data feed has not been activated this month
2) Disconnected from the Data Feed (File->Disconnect) (Message Log: SC Data - All Services | Disconnected. | 2020-06-11 14:26:18.151)
3) Global Settings->Date/Trade Service Settings
Deactivated: Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds

What else should be deactivated to stop Sierra Chart from downloading/updating *.dly files?

Actually there really is no way to prevent the automatic updating of historical Daily charts where each update would count 1 towards the number of downloads. Only the open charts would get updated once a day.
