Moving Stop Loss to Break-Even Automatically While Scaling in.

Hello,

I've been attempting to get the scale in feature to work with some of the automatic move-to-break-even functions. Just to be clear, the BE button seems to work as it should.

So using a standard one target standard bracket order, I've set the "Stop ALL" order to "Offset in Ticks Triggered" which provided for a single adjustment to the parent order B/E line; I've tried "OCO Group Triggered" (using two targets) and again received only one B/E adjustment; and finally I tried "Trail to B/E Offset Triggered" thinking I'd discovered the solution - and while the "Stop All" line moved down a few times after adding orders w/ price moving down the requisite # of ticks (I have "Trigger Offset" at 2), eventually it stopped even with price continuing to fall. I verified that it wasn't at B/E by hitting the BE button and the Stop moved down as it should.

Also, is there a way to adjust the increments/pace that the "Trail to B/E Offset Triggered" function moves the stop loss towards "B/E" other than the trigger which initiates it? I'd prefer that every time I enter a new scaled order that the B/E would adjust immediately automatically.

I've Googled what I thought was every instance of this subject being discussed but still can't figure these things out. Help! :)

Thank you!

It is not supported to move a stop order automatically to breakeven when scaling in.

Also, is there a way to adjust the increments/pace that the "Trail to B/E Offset Triggered" function moves the stop loss towards "B/E" other than the trigger which initiates it?
No.

Stop Loss Order Management for Multiple Entries: Moving Stop Loss to Break Even
Sierra Chart confirmed earlier that Move to breakeven works with Scaling-In as in above thread ?
We need a clear statement from Sierra -you support move to BE or not while Scale-In ?

The stop automatic moving to breakeven is working fine, the problem starts when this stop is triggered, when you have multiple contracts in the market, there is no way of knowing which contract will actually be taken from the market.

Second trade entry logic ERROR!

I am working with Scale-In ? so all contracts are merged into an price average and when u move to BE it should all have same stop quantity move to BE + x ticks as per the settings for breakeven --- If u r saying it works- how to set it up to work consistently ? when I hit BE button it moves to average price not +ticks as set in breakeven + x ticks ..?

Hi, I have the breakeven stop + X set for each individual entry, and it works, as can be seen in the uploaded video (see link in last post) you can also download the used chartbook and attached order settings and that page, and try it yourself.
I strongly suggest to use the chart replay to see in detail what happens.

I am not sure how to put a breakeven on the average entry price (with multiple entries), if that is what you want.

If you scale in and 'Scale In' is enabled, the stops and targets are merged.
If you scale in and 'Scale In' is not enabled, the stops and targets are not merged.
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main/C >> Menu >> Orders

So the term 'scale in' has two meanings.
It seems User964132 has 'Scale In' disabled, and User190501 has 'Scale In' enabled.

If 'Scale In' is not enabled, separate stops are not necessarily associated with their entry, but to one of the Open Position Average Price choices in Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings 3 tab.
Trading Information Windows: How Average Price for Positions Is Calculated and Used
However, this documentation is out of date and needs to be updated.
