LMAX Frequent Data Disconnections

Hello,

Every 15 - 20 minutes I am getting a disconnection with LMAX data. The disconnection will last usually for about 5-10 seconds then automatically reconnect and the chart data reloads the data that was missed. During this time I cannot place or change orders either. Initially I thought it may be my internet connection however I bought an app to monitor this which is showing I am having no dropouts whatsoever.

The disconnections I am having with LMAX toggle between the different contracts. I am using FX and the FX indexes and sometimes it is the FX pairs that disconnect and sometimes it is the indexes. It is the same for other CFD contracts as well but I do not have an example screenshot of this.

Is there something I can do to improve this?

There certainly is a connectivity problem somewhere. We are looking to set up infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region which can help with this.

We did talk today with service providers related to this and we were told that Thailand does not have the best connectivity internationally. So while your Internet connection may be okay, when connecting internationally there can be a problem.

So as we expand our infrastructure in Asia-Pacific, and also the Western US, and make these options available for order routing and market data, there might be some improvement but it is hard to say in your case.

Please check back with us in about 60 days regarding this.

The connection for market statistics and FX indexes is different than the market data for LMAX. These come from different servers.

Ok thanks for the information.

The app that I have is connecting to 3 different servers which I am assuming are not based in Thailand. I am actually having the ping check every second and the fail response set to 1 second.
This is how it works.

Also I have a business grade internet connection with a special option for "international" which guarantees up time at 99.99% etc. I guess if I am having the monitoring app set at 1 second, and there are micro disconnections less than this maybe this could be the issue? I am not a network specialist...

Are any other users having this issue or is this isolated to me? I guess that could be a determination in itself.
