I know you have been doing a lot of work on chart graphics related operations over the past few months. Today I updated to the latest version since my last upgrade back in NOV and one chart is extremely sluggish. The chart scroll with the arrow keys is painfully slow. The crosshair stutters across the screen and there is a notable delay when I click on the chart to enable the crosshair and click again to disable the crosshair.

The chart is simple, its just a 15m chart with daily profiles on it and some rectangle drawings. Only 45 days of data get loaded on the chart. Please look into this, it is a obvious and noticeable decline in performance on all of my higher timeframe intraday charts (ie, 15m, 120m)

We can only refer you to help topic 30:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often

Not sure what Profiles you are referring to but in the case of Volume Profiles increase the Ticks per Volume Bar Input setting.

And there has been no work at all on chart graphics other than some work on the OpenGL implementation. Otherwise , no changes at all. If OpenGL is causing poor performance, then disable it or get a faster GPU. This is the option we are referring to:
Graphics Settings: Use OpenGL for Chart Graphics (Global Settings >> Graphics Settings >> Other)

And if we tested the Chartbook on the two different versions, it is very unlikely we would notice a difference. Every time someone brings up an issue like this, it is either not reproducible, or there is no performance issue. Newer versions deliver higher performance as compared to prior versions. We know this.

Yes I have volume profiles on the 15m chart. The Ticks per volume bar is already set to 5 ticks. Even though you say there is no change, there is certainly a obvious degradation in performance to the version I was using late last year.

As a retired software developer, I know the goal is always to deliver higher performance. Software is very complex and we used to heavily rely on our user customer base for feedback.

We need to know the prior version you were running and also get that particular chart following these instructions:
Support Board Posting Information: Providing Chartbook with Only a Single Chart

We think it is unlikely we would observe any timing differences.

Also those videos cannot be viewed. They might be to using a video codec which we do not have. In any case, they are not helpful.

Software is very complex and we used to heavily rely on our user customer base for feedback.
We take a different approach. We make sure that there is proper quality control on our side and things are developed to be very efficient and take care of problems as they are reported, but performance issues are things we have little control over when they are system and user specific.
