Denali lag issues

The data lag issues that I experienced with Rithmic resulted in me looking for alternative data providers.

SC claimed that it's SC or Denali data services provided a superior solution for users of SC, so I switched to Denali, but I'm still experiencing data lag issues. I have followed all the additional SC recommendations to achieve peak performance, but this has not resulted in any performance improvements.

I live in London, and note from posts on the support forum that SC has set up Denali servers in London, but have been unable to find this in my Data/Trade Services settings (I'm using the latest SC update).

How do I access the London servers?

Here is the setup instructions. Step 11 lists the servers. I don't know if these servers provide data and routing or just routing for orders. SC will need to confirm that part.

Server 6  London with routing to TT London.

I'm only using the data service (not data and routing), so my Data/Trade Services setting panel does not allow me to choose a server number.

Sorry about that. Hopefully SC will respond to assist.

How much of a lag are you noticing?

I have followed all the additional SC recommendations to achieve peak performance,
What exactly did you do? Try the items described here:
Prices / Data Falling Behind: 4.12 - Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feeds

The Denali Exchange Data Feed, is not immune from lagging due to network latency and bandwidth limitations. We will check the server, to see what we find regarding your connection at this time.

The London server may or may not help but we have to add an option for that for when using SC Data-All Services.

Update: we did check the server and earlier today we did see data buffered up to 112 K for your connection but for a short moment that is not unusual.

I'm not experiencing intermittent lag issues, the lagging is constant.

I've run without anti-virus, and that does not solve the problem. I've checked my CPU, and that's not the problem. I run a single chart (without studies or market depth data), and performance does not improve at all compared to when I'm running several charts, studies, and market depth data. Also, it is not my internet connection, because when I run my the charting software provided with my trading account alongside SC, SC still lags the prices reflected on my trading software charts.

When will you be adding a London server for SC Data - All Services?

We will set up a setting in the next release to use the London relay server for the Denali Exchange Data Feed for SC Data - All Services.

Anything between 1 and 5 seconds. For me, such a lag is crucial because most of my trades are scalps lasting between 1 and 45 seconds.

It is hard for us to help with a one second lag across the Internet.

We will have the option out to use the London relay server at the end of the day on Monday. Hopefully that will help.

Have you tried limiting the number of levels of market depth data:

Have you tried a different Internet connection?
