Hi there.

I have a strange thing happening to me on some charts, especially on commodities.

I have loaded 2 charts for the same market, one where I have the continuos contract showing the daily chart and another one with the same month contract with which the continuos contract has been built but without continuous activated (i.e. NGK20 and NGK20 + continuous function activated).

When I mark levels on the continuation contract to help me with support and resistance levels on lower timeframes, the lines are drawn on completely different levels between the 2 charts.
I thought it was due to the calculation for the continuous contract but I tried all the options available for the continuations settings but nothing has changed.

Please find attached an example, I uploaded from here because it's on 2 different monitors.

Can you please help me?

thanks,
Fabio.

If the continuous futures contract chart has back adjusted prices, that would be one reason. And you need to make certain you know what contract month you are looking at in the chart at a particular chart bar. Refer to:

Hi there.

I tried and followed all the manual but no solution has been found.

The manual talked about some differences in the charts between continuous contract and not, however, there is no specific explanation on how to solve this problem.
I already tried all the settings of the case, including evening sessions, reverse session times, etc. But none of them solve the problem.

I tried already (before contacting you) to play around with the continuous contract settings (i.e. date rule rollover, volume-based rollover, etc).
I literally tried all of them but unsuccessfully. The difference across the charts remain the same. Actually, switching between future contracts rollovers will adjust the price upon or down but none of them match with the intraday chart I'm looking at.

Can you please help me out?

Many thanks,
Fabio.
