I have noted in the past week that my Sierra has 'inexplicably' slowed to a crawl.
If I am able to get my cursor to click on something I get the blue circle hanging
and the program often freezes.
All was working fine until this. I tried closing some charts to see... but no diff.
In task manager Sierra shows that it is pulling an inordinate amount of power and flashes "not responding," off and on.
The rest of my computer - Windows 10 - is functioning perfectly, and very fast as always.

Please advise how to remedy.

There is also a helpful video at the bottom of that section. Be sure to review it.

If nothing has changed on your side, then the problem would be due to the wider price ranges in the market and increased volumes.
