SC crashing intermittently

SC crashes from time to time (once every week or so) and has happened during the trading session. Symptom is momentary freeze and then closes.

Is there any way to determine why? Is there a log (in SC or Windows) which can identify the problem?

How does that determine the root of the problem if its recurring?

We do not know what the problem is. There should not be a problem at all. If you are not using custom studies and you are running a current version you are not going to have a problem. It does not mean there is a problem with the version you are running in Sierra Chart, but there is a rare possibility that there might be something wrong that we have fixed.

We are not going to investigate this. Understand our time is limited. And we know what we are talking about.

I don't know what the problem is either. Yes, there 'should' not be a problem, but there 'is'. I simply asked if there was a way to determine what the problem may be using a log or dump file that might point to it. There was a constructive way to answer the query and the way you chose to answer it. Thanks.

I have downloaded the current ver. and will see how we go.

We answered the question in the absolute best possible way. This is 100% fact. You just do not see it at this point in time. You need to realize you are dealing with engineers who are so monumentally experienced, we know how to deal with these issues.

Furthermore, why would we take our time for someone running an older version for an issue which is already been resolved. This makes no sense at all. It is a detriment to absolutely everyone to be doing this because it is wasting everyone's time and taking away our time from development.

If you are no longer having the problem and you are not using custom studies then it is resolved. If you still have a problem, then we will ask the next appropriate questions.

If you are no longer having the issue and you are using custom studies, then the next step is to not use Safe Mode and then if you have a problem the problem is with the custom studies and then you need to contact the developer about those.

Updated to latest version and running in Safe Mode and still crashed. Had one chartbook open with 8 charts. Studies used are Volume and Time Lines, no custom studies. Advise next steps to resolve.

See if the problem described here relates to the issue:
SC 2021 Crashing on mouse wheel scroll over quote board

We want you to enable this option:
General Settings Window: Save Message Log to File (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Log >> Log)

When you have the problem we will need to get the very latest Message Log file.

The problem described is different to what I am experiencing. The last time it crashed, I had clicked the Studies Window icon on my toolbar. It Paused (froze) briefly and shutdown without warning. Previous occasions have been similar.

Have enabled the Save Message Log option.

You should definitely not have a problem like this if there are no custom studies being used.

Provide us the Chartbook you are using when this happens following these instructions here:

Its intermittent, happens maybe once or twice per week. Unlikely you will be able to reproduce and can send the Log File when it happens. However if you still want me to send the chartbook then I will. Please confirm.

Yes please do provide it. We are able to reproduce problems under our debugger which may infrequently occur in a release build.

Attached relevant chart book. Was happening while using the 60min chart.
I have left text/drawings in place in case they are a factor with the issue being caused.
Private File
Attachment Deleted.

We are not able to test this Chartbook properly because we do not have access to the data of the symbols in the Chartbook.

We will have to look at the Message Log file next time you have the problem had
