Main Window Control Bar not working on detached windows since 2042 update

I have most of my charts detached but use one control bar on the main window. This worked well with whatever I selected from that control bar such as a drawing tool would then work on any of the detached windows, but since the 2042 update yesterday this no longer works. I have to select the drawing tool from within each individual window now. This is also the same with chart values/crosshair which I like appearing across all detached windows at the same time. Maybe there is some global setting I need to change I can't think of right now?

This does make sense because Drawing Tool selections are no longer global but instead specific to the active chart. Each chart can have a different drawing tool active. And you cannot choose drawing tools from the main window if there are no charts attached. This is also the same with chart values/crosshair which I like appearing across all detached windows at the same time. Maybe there is some global setting I need to change I can't think of right now? This is resolved in version 2043.

Can this option be added back? I rather not have to add control bars to every detached chart or mess around with menus every time I want to use a draw tool (and custom draw tools I setup on the control bar), it was really useful just having the one control bar work for the whole chartbook whether the charts were attached or not. |

please add back that option everyone who uses detached charts has only one control bar, or a couple of them, for all the charts; it's a matter of occupied area, that way we can save a lot of pixels. |

The current Chart Drawing Tool is specific to each individual chart and is no longer global.
As above per the users above, please consider restoring this functionality, even if optionally. I use many detached charts, this change makes it more difficult to interact with them efficiently. From brief testing it seems that a single floating toolbar can be used to interact with all charts, however this is not great because - 1) I need to keep revisiting the toolbar for each indivual chart (attaching toolbars to each chart is not something that I wish to do) 2) Previously, it was always immediately clear which tool was currently selected, now this is not possible without first navigating to the relevant chart. If after navigating to the relevant chart, I find that the wrong tool is active for that chart, I then have to revisit the toolbar and select the correct one. Repeat this process a few hundred times each day and you can see how this inefficieny will divert more attention away from what is important. Maybe there is a more efficient way to do what I need, in which case please tell me. |

Assuming the solution was the new Tool Settings >> Use Common Drawing Tool for Charts option, would it be possible to also add an option to keep the drawing tool selected across chartbooks? I frequently flip between chartbooks with the intention of using the same drawing tool. It's a definite timesaver for my workflow to keep the tool active until I select something else. |
