I have been live trading ES (Globex) and CL eminis with IB for few years. I wish to incorporate Sierra charts and get real time market data and the footprint charts.
At present I am on demo mode with Sierra and wish to connect IB's real time market data to try out/test run. Is this possible with a Sierra demo account?
Also your review mentions that IB's real time data is inefficient if I require order flow charts through Sierra. In that case, to trade ES and CL mini's (using Sierra OF charts and DOM), which is the recommended Sierra feed I should subscribe to? SC real time or Denali? Pls advise the pricing breakdown for each.

Following up on my previous question;
According to IB;
"The latest production version of the platform (build 969) enables the Time & Sales windows to use real-time last tick data for all products that support this feature, which includes stocks and futures worldwide. Let’s note that all other products will continue to show real-time Time & Sales derived from the aggregated real-time volume. If traders prefer to use real-time aggregated/averaging of trades (approximately every 3-4 seconds) instead of tick-by-tick data for all products, they should go to Global Configuration > Information Tools > Time & Sales > Settings, and check “Always use real-time volume to approximate Time and Sales data.”

Does this mean now Sierra charts can accommodate the footprint charts with IB's real time tick by tick data and no other data feed is necessary?
Pls advise.

Yes. Instructions are here:
Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Setup Instructions

. In that case, to trade ES and CL mini's (using Sierra OF charts and DOM), which is the recommended Sierra feed I should subscribe to? SC real time or Denali?
In this case you need to use this data feed:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

The pricing is explained on that page.

We cannot provide help for post #2. That is not within the scope of our support since that is not our data feed.

I have started a trial account with Sierra charts.
I have a funded account with IB and subscribe to real time data to trade ES and CL. I have been trading these instruments for some time now.

I am having a difficulty and unable to connect the IB data feed even after going through entire step by step instruction in the post as below, and including my live IB account details in the 'data connections' window.
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.phppage=doc/InteractiveBrokers.php#SetupInstructions

The message window states 'Connect to data feed: current service package does not support this function'

Pls assist in connecting the IB data feed to Sierra trial account.

With Sierra charts, I intend to get the footprint charts/numbers bars and market depth.
Pls advise the IB real time data will be sufficient for this purpose. IF NOT, what are the most cost effective option for a real time data feed, but still keeping IB as the broker?

You should not be getting this error message any longer now. Let us know if you still are.

You will want to use this data feed with Interactive Brokers:

Thanks, I have a green on data/trade service setting with IB (trading) as the data service. I have a funded account with IB and subscription for real time data feed (ES Globex)

However, in order to load the charts on Sierra platform, pls assist in finding the correct symbol for ES and CL March 2020 expiry. I did searched, but was unable to find the correct symbol for the above instruments.
Pls assist.
