I recently had an issue with missing data and resolved it by downloading the latest update.

Yesterday, I opened a Sierra Chart instance on a second computer, updated it to the latest version, and I am missing data again, this time prior to yesterday. I have spent many many hours trying to resolve it with all I know about retrieving missing data. I have searched documentation and FAQ's, etc. and I'm stuck.

The only thing I can see is that under "Chart Settings - Date Range", I am unable to set "From" prior to 11-27-2019 and I can't figure out why. I am asking for 300 days of of intraday data.

Please advise.

Thanks

There could be different reasons for this, and we have done some updates to help with this.

Update to the latest prerelease 2019:

Software Download: Fast Update

And then:
Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart.

Ouch

I downloaded the latest pre release 2019 and now have a blank chart after "Edit- Delete all Data and Download." Even grid lines are gone, but I guess that may have to do with no data.

I do get a "Download Failed" notice.

Fortunately, this is not my main computer (which is ok with version 2017) it is a backup laptop.
