Updated from 1997 to 2005 and can't connect to CQG Web API

Using 1997 until a few minutes ago and then updated to latest version 2005 and SC does not connect to CQG Web API, it simply shows the yellow box that says "Connecting..."

Yeah, just reverted back to 1997 through the installer and same thing, no connection.

Have not updated and v1981 can't connect to CQG FIX. Switched to CQG webapi, and now can connect.

Worked fine yesterday. What is going on? All these changes without notice in middle of trading day?!

This is strictly going to have been a CQG server issue. There are no changes on the Sierra Chart side regarding the CQG Web API with any recent version.

Similar issue here, I am connected but my charts have a 'symbol unknown' error and they're not updating live. If i disconnect and reconnect it then downloads the historical data.

So all day had no live charts. Happened last week as well but started working on its own after a couple of hours.

Any ideas support?

We do not even have to prove ourselves with why we want to not have more users added to CQG. This is in regards to this thread in its entirety.

This is the problem:

Whats with the attitude? Very professional of you!!

In fact, AMP told me its your issue because I get the software directly from you and they have already logged in to give me remote assistance trying the common errors. As the software was saved and updated today and worked fine yesterday I only came to see if you can help, guess not. Oh well ill sit here and see if it works again on its own.

Hello,

I have the exact same problem. I am still paper trading, using the CQG demo data feed. I received it as a demo from AMP, but I have no account there.
Has there been any fix yet? I followed all instructions provided by sierra chart, and made a last minute reinstall too.

So update...guess what AMP dont have a frigging clue, so Im lost as to what to do now. How much is your own datafeed and do I need a fully funded broker account to use it, as im still on demo and would like to be for a while.

Currently I am not using a funded account or payed datafeed. I planned to do so untill the end of this year.
After that I am going to convert my Interactive Brokers paper trading account into a live account.

Was there a change in SC on CQG FIX?

TT has its issues also, we just want reliable software and infastructure to trade. These unnecessary problems add much stress to trading which is already high risk and stress.

That’s excellent news for those forward testing strategies and backtesting. No need for truly live data do a delay like TradingView has is going to be a game changer!

Is there a definite timescale on that rollout?

We did have at least one report of someone not able to connect with CQG FIX today. You also need to understand that Sierra Chart handles CQG FIX disconnects in the background. You are not going to notice them occur unless you look at the Message Log.

This is something we just received from CQG now:
Emergency Maintenance
At 16:30 CST today we will be performing emergency maintenance that could cause brief disconnects from our order routing infrastructure. CQG products should reconnect automatically but please check your system. CQG will announce completion of the maintenance prior to 17:00
