Hi folks,

As the title says, I cannot connect to my account. I deleted and reinstalled SC after backing up my chartbooks and trade settings.

Also, It is very slow to load SC now. I also hangs when trying to minimize the window. I suspect there's a glitch in the new version with the Windows 10 update.

I really need this fixed. Thank you,

Nathan

Refer to help topic 30:
High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often

Regarding the connection problem to CQG we need to see the message log. Refer to:

No there is not.

We have periodically said in recent years that the Microsoft Windows operating system is a deteriorating platform, and this only confirms it. And we will say it again. The Windows operating system platform is in a state of deterioration. You are suffering the consequences of this. Anyone who puts their faith in Microsoft is going to pay the price. That is why we are gradually migrating away from everything Microsoft as much as we can.

I just rolled the W10 build back and now it runs fine. I really don't have time right now to troubleshoot this issue. Well, I'm only running windows because SierraChart only runs natively on Windows. If that's not the case, let me know. I hate Windows.

Yes, we understand everything that you say. And everything we say is just a condemnation of Microsoft and it is not meant as any advice for your particular case. We understand that Windows 10 is the current version that Microsoft has and people have to use it.

It wasn't a high CPU issue, because it wasn't connected. The charts would load, but data would not connect. It also just took a long time from click on icon to starting the initial software. And minimizing would hang for 10 seconds or so. The log was not particularly instructive. It just said cannot connect CQG webapi. It also would not update the software from SC. I had to download the zip. Since I'm travelling, need to trade for income and cannot handle this mystery, I just deleted the 2019 W10 update and now all is well.
