NetPL for the instrument continue to adjust while account is flat

Hello Support,

The NetPL balance on my chart continue to fluctuate even though the account is flat for this particular market and has no positions open. If position is open, the P/L field on the chart works correctly displaying the appropriate profit or loss while in the trade. However, the NetPL field does not reflect the correct amount and continue to fluctuate even AFTER the position is closed.

Is there a way to reset the internal ledger for the local Sierra installation so it will make the NetPL field zero at the beginning of trading? Further more, I think there is a larger issue here since the NetPL SHOULD NOT fluctuate while the account is flat for this particular market.

I am running version 1915-64 Bit on Win-10 Professional 64-Bit.

You will not have this problem when using the new Sierra Chart Order Routing service. This is explained on that page at the bottom. Anyway it is a simple case of just adjusting the Order Fills Start Date- Time in the chart.

Thank you for your reply.

I really would like to start using Sierra Chart Order Routing Service (been waiting for you guys to release this for a long time) but unfortunately this is not possible for me since I am trading through Infinity / Transact and they do not support this. The ONLY option they provide is to clear through Transact. And by the way, they have been very rude when I questionned them about this possibility.

Is there a way around this?

Also, I have carefully studied the information from the page you have provided (Help With Daily Profit/Loss Value) and in the examples used though out the page DailyPL is used instead of NetPL which I have on my Chart Trading Wndow. Is this the same field or has it been renamed in the current versions and slides used as examples just reflect the old name of the same field?

The basic solution is you just need to set Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings >> Order Fills Start Date-Time to a time in the present day when the position was flat for the symbol and Trade Account.

Daily PL is the same field as Net PL except it does not include the open profit/loss. We will make that clear in the documentation.

Also we would not expect any broker/firm to be particularly nice or helpful in regards to supporting the order routing service we have, if they don't support it or it's not in their interest to support it. Transact is a completely separate system. So clearly they would not support that.
