Upon first launch this morning I was in a live position of 4 contracts long in the Emini Micros. I immediately flattened. P&L reflected no profit or loss. I thought it was an anomoly. No postion was registered as I proceeded to trade in 1 & 2 lots earlier this morning.

At around 10:20 I experienced a smiliar issue after restarting Sierra Chart. But i was short 4 contracts and down 225.00 which is approximnately the ammount I would have been down if I were holding the earlier short position.

I get notifications on my cell phone so I would know if i had placed a 4 contract order. Which I did not.

Also why would 4 lots be active if I was placing 1 and 2 lot orders in betwwen my last 4 lot close.

I have expeienced sierra having open positons on launch in the SIM before please adivse and let me know what you need on my end to verify.

I had the same issue this morning. It was a duplicate trade that I done lastnight before midnight. Started SC this morning and a trade was live.

When you launched did you have the trading window attached to your chart.

I used a separate DOM when trading the micros (MES) every day this week except today when I used a chart attached window (right side).

I’ve seen this problem before in SIM and now that I think about it it was with an attached window trading the ES. I also had an open position in the MES SIM 1 when I launched this morning.

Kinda scared to launch the product at all now, not sure what to expect and haven’t heard back from anyone.

I’m happy it was only the micros or I’d be down 2500 instead of 250.

How long does one expect it to take to get a response from them for an situation like this? I would suggest you contact your broker.

Not sure how long it takes to get a response.

Contacted my broker first and all they have are records of trades. So as far as they are concerned “you pushed the buttons”.

Any other issues have to be addressed by Sierra Chart.

Hoping to get some satisfaction b/c I really like the product (so far).

Refer to this section here to determine the origin of any orders you do not expect:
Trade Activity Log Analysis: Determining the Origin of a New/Modified Order

In regards to any Trade Position reporting issues, those are going to be with the external trading service or due to you having mistakenly activated the Order Fill Calculated Positions. Refer to:
Trading Information Windows: Incorrectly Reported Trade Position Quantity

I’ve seen this problem before in SIM and now that I think about it it was with an attached window trading the ES. I
In regards to this, refer to:
Trade Activity Log Analysis: Determining the Origin of a New/Modified Order

And refer to:
Trade Simulation: Trade Simulation Position Quantity Calculation

Also be aware of this new service:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

Finally, we are not willing to analyze these particular cases even for an additional charge which we would charge for simply because we do not believe there is any issue on the Sierra Chart side in regards to this. This is literally next to 0% especially in the case of when using Gain Capital.

And when you start reporting issues, also with simulated trading, there must be something else going on in your particular case because Position calculations in that case is completely different and separate as compared to external services.

And for the record, the user at post #1 is using CQG.

The user at post #2 is using Gain Capital.

Recently we have heard about some position reporting issues with CQG but not Gain Capital. The way that gain capital reports positions is more reliable than CQG.

Now in regards to the new TT based order routing, Position reporting is accurate so long as the orders are entered from Sierra Chart. If not, then there likely would be Position inaccuracies until the end of the day but that is a known issue based on how the TT system works.
