Under Trade/"Trade Orders And Positions"/Balance

The only column displaying is "Account Value" and it appears to be calculating

Should it display the other columns also
---Cash Balance / Available Funds / Margin Req /Open P/L / Daily P/L -----

On the chart study "Account Balance Text" it shows 0 and is not calculating

is this for SC to reset or the broker.....?

Note this is with "Live Mode"

You are referring to account balance data and we do not control that information. This comes from the external service you are using. We can only refer you to the relevant documentation here:

Margin Req /Open P/L / Daily P/L
These fields only work with this particular service:

As i am using a CQG connection with Sierra using the WebAPI

and pay the $.15 per side fee to SC though tradovate (My Account)



Not sure who to contact about this issue

Not sure who gets the fee at the end
but its a charge with my broker to
trade using SC for entry/exit

as I prefer to use SC and
don't use their trading platform
for entry/exits

Data/Trading Service is CQG/WebAPI

We have many reports of an issue with CQG account balance data. So we will be looking at this as soon as we can and contact CQG.


In regards to the trading fee that certainly does not come to us. A portion would go to CQG and a portion to your broker. We do know that CQG would get $0.10 of that.

I just update my version from something around #1870ish and lost the CQG account balance (was working fine on Friday).

Nothing has changed within Sierra Chart in this regard. Although when you update your connection may have changed from CQG FIX to CQG Web API and the web API may have a problem with providing account balance data.

You are right. Changing the connection back to CQG FIX restored the account balance. However, I now have an issue with all my historical charts where only the front month future data is downloading. This is the case on both the CQG live and the DTC - sub instance connections.

The reason I updated in the first place was because of a problem with historical data. Only in that case I had continuous historical data but was missing a 3 month period on all time frames even after deleting all data and downloading fresh.

When I first updated SC on the weekend the historical data was fine. Now though, even when I am connected via CQG Web API, I only get the front month data on historical charts. I have tried closing SC and restarted with both connections. I have "Continuous Futures Contract - Volume Based Rollover" selected. If I attempt to delete the data it only offers me the choice of deleting the front month.

Follow the instructions here to update the Symbol Settings:
