Hello dear support team,

I'm using the sierrachart real time data feed with an open e cry account,
and i'v met some problems :

first one, i can't see transactions which printing the tape, and the footprint chart is not updating for the 6E, the emini ES, and the emini Russel2000 ; then i have an order book, but orders are not updating too.

Therefore, for the big gold contract (GC100onces) and for the bund (FGBL) it's allright, the tape, the dom, and the footprint are printing all transactions.

How can i fix it ?

Thank's

There currently is a problem with the multicast feeds that carry the ES and some other symbols from the CME to one of our servers. We did notice this problem earlier today and we restored the data feed, but later there continued to be a problem.

We have prevented users from connecting to that server and downloading historical data from that server.

You should be fine now. If you are missing any data in your Intraday charts, follow the instructions and help topic 7.1 here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails7.html#RefreshWithData

We do apologize for the late reply, we have been monitoring this and taking steps in the background to resolve the problem.

There is a basic procedure to follow in this particular case:

Select File >> Disconnect
Select File >> Connect to Data Feed to go to the other server.

If you are missing data, follow the instructions in help topic 7.1.

This is all that has to be done.

I got couple of questions:

1) Are these data automaticaly backadjusted or do I need to adjust them?
2) How to connect the datafeed with IB live account so I can trade directly from SC live? Do I need to fill username and password in the dataconnection window and that's it? Do I need to run TWS when trading live? If so, is the web based application enough?

BTW. can you allow the datafeed now for my account?

In regards to the issue described in post #101. This has been resolved. We will be setting up more close monitoring to be aware of these kinds of problems exactly when they occur.

Our systems do have a redundant set up, so all you need to do is reconnect to the data feed to switch to the other server if a particular symbol is not updating. It is hard for there to be an automatic switch in this case, because only some of the CME channels were affected.

As far as what the cause was, the network engineer was not clear on the cause, but it was resolved.

1) Are these data automaticaly backadjusted or do I need to adjust them?
Back adjustment is fully supported. It happens within Sierra Chart (which is the best way). Refer to this section here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#ContinuousFuturesContract

2) How to connect the datafeed with IB live account so I can trade directly from SC live?
Yes you can do this.

Do I need to fill username and password in the dataconnection window and that's it?
You do not need to do this with Interactive Brokers. You just connect Sierra Chart to Trader Workstation.

Do I need to run TWS when trading live? If so, is the web based application enough?
Yes you need to be running Trader Workstation and you can use the web-based one.

BTW. can you allow the datafeed now for my account?

Yes, shall we go ahead with this?

Hello dear support team,

thank's for your reply,
the problem is solved on the 6E contract, but it is not for the emini russel 2000. I am on 1070 version ; have i to update it ?

I would like to know why i can get a large volume profil on the FGBL in continuous future contract (volume based rollover) while i have a very little volume profil on the GC100 onces in continuous future contract (volume based rollover too) ?

Indeed, on the FGBL, i can see a volume profil from 147.6 to 120 ; but on the GC100 onces, i can only see a volume profil from 1080$ to 1920$.

When i was using my old data feed (open e cry) in continuous contract for the GC100 onces ; i was able to see the volume profil from 1920$ to 1000$

how can i do it to find it ?

thank's!

What particular problem are you having for the emini russel 2000? Please start a new thread about this. We do not show you are enabled for the ICE exchange with this data feed, so this data would be coming from your trading service data feed.

Is the problem with GC that there is not enough historical data in the chart? If so, we can load in more historical data to the server.

Thank's for your quickly reply

What particular problem are you having for the emini russel 2000?

My orderbook is moving, and is updating, but my footprint chart not ; my time and sales is empty, and i can't see the transactions printing the tape and printing the footprintchart without making a reload of my chart.

Is the problem with GC that there is not enough historical data in the chart?

yes!

If so, we can load in more historical data to the server.

thank's,
please tell me when it's done

SC Team - Question about CME's aggressor's field you have been using to determine exact trade type( which very nice BTW ). Assuming only with the recent data - you have started recording this. For the historical bid/ask trade data - Which method you have used? Did you extract historical data directly from CME as well or used some other source? For ES - mainly interested to know - what was the oldest date - that you have started using this "aggressor" field.

Thanks

The aggressor field has been in use for about two months. Before this, the determination was made by comparing the last trade price to the Bid and Ask prices.

Hello, just to explain, if I choose SC package 5 (due numbers bars), I will pay $40 per month. Ok, but if I wanted to use your new majestic SC datafeed for $35 per month, I need to pay total $75 per month? Or is the price of a new datafeed already included in the price of $40?
Thanks

(a) Can i have RMB currency historical intra day data as discussed within this week.
We can have this ready next week. For what trading/broker service do you want to use it with?

(b) Secondly i failed to download DX ICE from SC historical intraday data. Below is the log stated error. Please advice.
You need to use this service instead for ICE markets:

In regards to the inquiries about using the CME data feed without a trading account, we apologize for the delay with this. The main reason for the delay is that there are 6 different exchange fees that need to be set up and symbol authorizations that have to be programmed. None of this is particularly easy.

We have to be honest, it is not likely this is going to be ready until sometime in February.

I am using OEC futures for FX and i wish to trade RMB with better bid and ask volume data.
We now have added the Chinese renminbi futures on the CME to the Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Futures data feed when using OEC.

We have not loaded in any historical Intraday data, so it will begin effective Monday. If you need more data, let us know but please start a new thread about this.
