Please inform how can I solve this problem.

When I set a cycle, example starts at 8.00pm and ends at 8.15am (AM) I change the following dates ....

My time zone is Rome (Italy) UTC / GMT +1 hour

I followed your instructions but I could not Time Zone Setting: Settings For 'Other/Custom DST' Time Zone Setting (Global Settings >> Time Zone)

Why various times ... future...

We would need to know how those vertical lines are drawn and see what the settings are for how they are to be drawn. Most likely, it is simply something in the way that these are set that is causing those times to show.

Also, let us know how you want those lines to be drawn so we can help you get those setup properly.

No the vertical lines are not the problem, but the date/time of the cycle plotted forward is the errror, I explain better, if I set a cycle starting at 20.00(PM) and ending at 8:15 (AM) the next should be the same .. while the next ends at 19:30

I hope I explained

The Cycle drawing tool does not know anything about times, it just draws a repeating cycle based on the number of bars. Refer to the following for more information:

Hi John, thanks for replay.

So how can we do to make sure that I can set a cycle that starts at 20:00(Pm) and ends at 8:15 (AM)

I ask this because if I do a weekly or monthly cycle, things are even worse ....

Actually I use Excell for cyclical analysis, but I would like to set it all on Sierra

It depends on what exactly you want to accomplish from the cycle. First, as noted in the documentation for the Cycle drawing, you can turn on the option in Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced >> Include Columns with No Data. This would then ensure that the number of bars is consistent.

Another option is to simply use the Vertical Grid to denote the Open of each session. You will find the documentation for this here:
Chart Settings: Show Vertical Grid (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Grid >> Show Vertical Grid menu)

If you give some more information on exactly what you are trying to do with the Cycle drawing, then there might be others who can help with ideas of how they accomplished the same thing.

Ok John, the Vertical Grid Lines they are not good because they are connected with Session Start and Start of Trading Day (The cycles start and end at different times)

Generally, those who study cycles start from this concept: the cycle is simply a periodic function, a pattern that repeats over time at regular intervals of time and is formed by a duration and an amplitude.

I'll give you an example with a weekly cycle where the problem is even more evident

The dates of a weekly Bund cycle are:

…………………

I am enclosing the cycle of the Bund made with Sierra to highlight the error that is generated by plotting the cycle forward .... it is wrong and I cannot understand why. ..

Let me know if there is a solution ?

As we noted above, the solution is to turn on the option for Include Columns with No Data. Refer to the documentation here for this option:
Chart Settings: Include Columns With No Data (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Chart Bar Settings menu)

John the Include Columns with No Data option is flag as shown in the attachment "Cycle Week"
There is a mistake in Sierra that I do not understand.

Take a test if you have time.

The problem is that the Bund cycle that you are looking to replicate is not an even distribution. From what you gave in post #7, the first period is a total of 127 hours. The second period is only 67 hours. The Cycle drawing tool uses the number of bars for each cycle, therefore the cycles must be the same amount of time. Therefore, the Cycle drawing tool simply will not work for this.

The only thing I can think of to show this particular cycle is to use Vertical lines to denote the start and end of each cycle, much as you have already done.
