It depends on what exactly you want to accomplish from the cycle. First, as noted in the documentation for the Cycle drawing, you can turn on the option in Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced >> Include Columns with No Data. This would then ensure that the number of bars is consistent.

Another option is to simply use the Vertical Grid to denote the Open of each session. You will find the documentation for this here:
Chart Settings: Show Vertical Grid (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Grid >> Show Vertical Grid menu)

If you give some more information on exactly what you are trying to do with the Cycle drawing, then there might be others who can help with ideas of how they accomplished the same thing.
