I'm sending screenshots of error message just to be sure it's windows and not Sierra. I'm going to upgrade to 1872.

We believe the problem is due to some custom studies you are running because we see in this screenshot some overlapped windows which are not natively part of Sierra Chart: https://www.sierrachart.com/Download.php?Folder=SupportBoard&download=25905 Run Sierra Chart in Safe Mode: Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Using Safe Mode Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I haven't had the problem since I reported. I'm only running one custom study that I'm aware of and if I continue to have problems I will contact the developer.

You will need to run in Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away so you know if it is caused by the custom study. Most likely.
