Problem with Futures Rollover on Daily Chart using Continuous Contract

Not sure why I am having this issue as it hasn't come up for many futures rollovers already. This only happens with the daily/historical chart, not the intraday chart which rollovers just fine.

Attached in the first image is what the ES daily continuous contract looks like before the rollover.

2nd attachment is after rollover. As you can see, the 2018 Dec contract is now missing. This happens for both the ES and NQ and I'm not sure why. I tried changing different rollover rules, even starting with a fresh chartbook and opening up new charts, but nothing seems to work.

Thanks

I'm happy to report it seems to be working now, but the steps outlined in your link didn't fix it. I wasn't sure if perhaps the servers were down because its the weekend, but after deleting some daily data files, it just didn't reload properly. Usually my daily data files for ES are 17-18kb, but I was getting just 1kb files after deleting and downloading data files. So after the delete and download, I had essentially empty data files.

What I ended up doing was a full reset of the global symbol settings. (perhaps you would have eventually instructed me to do this after deleting individual contract files didn't work)

Anyway, just wanted to update this thread as I see a number of posts lately regarding symbol settings so perhaps these issues may all be connected somehow.

We are not aware of any reason why the steps here would not work:

Continuous Futures Contract Charts: Re-Downloading Continuous Futures Contract Data

Other than a historical data download failure/error which it sounds like you encountered. If you still had a problem we would need to look at the Message Log. But you have reported you have the data now so that is good.
