Changed my AMP data feed from CQG to Seirra Chart Exchange, but won't update legacy charts

I can load new charts but when I update legacy charts to new symbols, I get no response & no data. Any suggestions? (See png clip, plus log.)

Ok, it looks like that did the trick. However, I need to watch the feed for awhile to verify it is real time, as it is evening session, and ticks aren't coming through as often. But that is real progress. It even enabled me to change the legacy charts (one so far) to the new symbols and get updated data.

So, looks like I should do this for every log it, as it appears to not save this election upon shut-down?

OK, but on loging on this AM, while log0n & Symbols work, however, the data still has issues: Specifically: charts update on logon, then system logs off and no data for 8 minutes, then logon/update, then logoff for another 8+ minutes. Any ideas.


See log attached for this mornings logon sequence. (I tried to attach log but your system would not allow it).

I'm curious what data service setting is being used for AMP trading? I don't see sierra chart exchange. Also, is there a preferred Data Service for AMP trading as far as sierra chart is concerned?

Update: AMP contact says just an CQG service for routing orders but still use sierra data.

Ok, I have followed your instructions to change the login and it worked, as I now have streamed real time data. However, an old issue cropped up which you can read about in past posts: and that is that the data feed stops/drops every few minutes, during which there is no data coming in.

I felt that once I got away from CQG and Rithmic data that this would improve. So far, not seeing any evidence of that. Please look at the log below for the most recent data shut down event, for any clues to the cause. They happen at 5 to 10 minute intervals, more or less. Usually also, the data feed window changes from Green to Yellow until the connection is re-established, which usually happens in a minute or so.

Usually also, the data feed window changes from Green to Yellow until the connection is re-established, which usually happens in a minute or so.

Set Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service Settings >> Connect to Market Data Server to False.

We do see the lost connection to the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed as well as CQG but the data feed recovered within two seconds. Not a minute. If you are still periodically losing the connection to the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed often, then that does indicate some connectivity issue on your side because it is well-established that the connectivity to our servers is very solid. Any problem would not be due to the immediate network connectivity our systems have.
