I do not thing that I'm lama. I work as IT specialist for several years, but I still do not get, how to set this:
1. instance with CQG data
2. instance with data from first instance and tradeing to interactive brokers account.
----------
When I go step by step with instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/MultipleServices.html#SettingChartReferenceLocalSymbolDataFile
I have 2 instnances. First is with CQG and works as server. Second one works as DTC sub instance with the same data from first one. But I did not get how to set Interactive brokers connectin on 2. intance.

Sorry for this, but it needs more decription on the help pages with examples.
Thanks

There is a new method to do this and it is somewhat explained in this thread:
Breaking Change: Remote Chart Data Files

We still have not yet prepared formal documentation. But you should not have difficulty understanding what to do.

You must have 2 completely independent instances of Sierra Chart. Do not use a sub instance.

Also that link you gave, refers to documentation which was removed.

One mistake we see is this line:

<realtime-data-client>default_primary</realtime-data-client>

It should not be there. We will have documentation out in one or two days for this functionality.

Ok thank you, I deleted this row:

<realtime-data-client>default_primary</realtime-data-client>

I'm desperate. My tradind has been paralyzed for more than a month.
In my picture, there you see CQG and IB instances the same chart with the same timeframe. As you see, when IB is connected, then in some candles there are zeroes, then continues data which comes from IB, not from CQG. Please give me right instruction or help on remote asistent, otherwise I have to close sierra account and move to Ninjatrader. Sorry for that.

I'm desperate. My tradind has been paralyzed for more than a month.
If this is really true, then use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed for market data rather than this solution involving CQG:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

The cost is very little. Just do this and you will have the proper durable solution.

Anyway here is the documentation for the new functionality:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/MultipleServices.html#AccessingMarketDataFromOtherInstancesOfSierra%20Chart

Make sure you are running version 1850 for all instances.

If you have trouble then use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed instead. This is the most proper solution.

I have the same issues as User 548572 above.
I am trying to see a Rithmic installation of ES inside an IB installation of ES
I tried deleting the realtime-data-client line suggested above but that does not help.

The issue I have is that I still cannot see the Rithmic ES when I search for it in Custom - see screenshot below.

When I read the documentation it suggested we should be able to see the Rithmic instrumnets under custom if it was working correctly

Now, having posted the above post it triggered in my brain how to achieve what I want.
If you are using pattern matching then Custom is not what you want.
Instead you want to edit the Interactive Brokers symbol settings for ES in globalsettings.xml.
You do not want to create a separate, new symbol settings for the Rithmic ES

However, I did use "<realtime-data-client>Generic_Sub_Clients</realtime-data-client>" to make this work.

Thanks for this amazing feature

it is working fine, excellent feature.

In the destination instance (IB), is it normal that I see the Market Depth provided by IB and not by CQG?

Let's say that for the E-Mini Nasdaq 100 I'm using the Continuous Futures Contract with a Date Rule Rollover: which data will be downloaded in the destination instance (IB) if I set the Date Range From 2018-11-20?
(the Rollover date for the December 2018 contract of the E-Mini Nasdaq 100 was 2018-12-13)
What I mean is if there a way to provide a Continuous Futures Contract in the destination instance.

You should be seeing the market depth from the source instance. In this case which would be CQG. If not, then the data would not be originating from the source instance. Do you see an [M] indicator after the symbol?

When using the Continuous Futures Contract feature, the data will still always originate from the source instance.

I can see that only with a a live funded trading account the two Sierracharts can communicate.

But I still can't get the [M] http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=154883896885.png

I did copy and paste the Interactive Brokers symbol settings for NQ-######-GLOBEX provided in post #11.
In Interactive Brokers symbol settings , Overwrite Existing Settings When Automatically Updating From The Server is disabled.

We are not going to provide support for post #14. Even for an additional cost we will not provide support. You need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed instead:

This has already been made clear in post #1 here:
Breaking Change: Remote Chart Data Files

And in the case where you were using the older functionality which was easier, and now it is more difficult but far more capable, well that is just how it is. If we lose you as a customer there is not much we can do about that. But you are going to find that using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed is very easy and very reliable and works very well and in the coming months we will be able to offer better pricing for that data feed.
