Sticky Hand!

No, seriously...

When I click the mouse to move the chart around with the “hand” tool, release the mouse... and the tool doesn’t release the hand. I move the mouse, no button pressed, and it is stuck on “hand”. I have to press the button several times and sometimes right click to a different tool in order to unstick the hand. This is not consistent behavior, i.e. I cannot recreate the issue at will, sometimes it sticks and sometimes not, but it happens MORE often than not. Very irritating and quite expensive in one case of not being able to get to gran stop handle in time during a trade.

Help me clean my hands of this mess please ! ;-)

This is the first report we have of this and the implementation is done in such a way there should not be a problem because the OS pointer input is captured and not released until you release the left click even if moving over another window.

When you have the problem just select Tools >> Pointer to reset the internal tool states.

Being nothing has changed with this functionality over the years, and this is the first we have ever heard of this, we are going to assume this is a system-level issue at this time. But we will see if there any other reports and see if there is anything we can do.

We made a change in 1817 which may solve this. Although the underlying reason is still not clear. Update to the latest prerelease and let us know if you still see a problem. Here are instructions:

I've noticed this for quite some time. It only happens if the ChartDOM is on the chart. To reproduce, do this:
Left-click in the chart and drag to the right and release in either of the Buy or Sell columns of the ChartDOM.
The hand is 'stuck' to the chart but only on the horizontal movement, not the vertical.
To release, click again in the chart.

Okay, we suspected something like that and that is exactly the particular issue that has been resolved.
