I just loaded the new one (1831) and my "trade stats for charts" is still screwed up. I thought it was fixed on a previous update, but it didn't work. I gave up and just accepted that it wasn't going to work and if I need my totals just go to the mobile CQG.

Why doesn't Sierra Chart download and rewrite the account positions every time you open the program?
I have orders filling outside of Sierra Chart and then it screws up everything within the program.

We do not know what you mean, and you need to understand how the calculations there work. This is explained here:
Trade Activity Log: Open Quantity Field Calculation Method (Open Quantity Field Calculation)

Sierra Chart does!. Refer to:
Trading Information Windows: Trade Positions Window

The most important thing in regards to this, is having access to the historical order fills which we do not with CQG. This is one reason why we are developing a new solution with TT which will.

I was referring to the previous replies to the updated version above where I thought the new version fixed an issue.

Anyway, I can clear the trade activity stats, restart Sierra Chart, and then go to my "Trade Stats for Charts" and it still shows me in a position that I closed yesterday, and it was to close a winning position and now it continues to calculate as a (1 long) losing position. The DOM isn't showing that. Image attached.

It's not a big deal I guess.. Just seemed like something had changed in the version "18" series that started to not log positions properly.
Have a good one! ~J

We cannot fix issues related to order fill calculated Positions and statistics when there are missing order fills. That is totally outside of our control.

No, not when you are dealing with fill calculated positions like you would see on the Trade Stats for Charts tab. You need to look at the Positions tab instead:

Thanks for the updates you have provided to the flat flat statistics. If I may while you are improving this a few suggestions:

1. Under Trade Statistics...there is no calculation for % profitable (Flat2Flat)
2. Also the Flat2Flat stats are mingled with the Fill 2 Fill stats...could they somehow be separated or grouped on the page?
3. Add a column drop down box to view wanted/unwanted columns...each update these reset...takes quite a while to organize the desired columns and in proper order...have to repeat it after each update.

Thx

1. We will add this.

2. This will be looked into later.

3.

This should not happen and we will see what the issue is. Hopefully we can reproduce.

3. When you update Sierra Chart and we have added new columns to one of the tabs on the Trade Activity Log, that particular tab will reconfigure itself to default . Otherwise, the ordering of the columns, and the width of the columns is preserved between Sierra Chart runs. We have verified this.

If you notice otherwise let us know.

So being that there is not going to be any further reconfiguration of the Trades tab, there will not be a problem going forward. Our work on that tab is done.

Man, me and my trade buddies are so frustrated. I'm not the only one having problems.

Yesterday I put in an order and it filled, then it disappeared and doesn't show up anywhere in Sierra (may have had an old non-existent order still in the log). Shocked! I immediately hit the flatten button and the message window pop's up with one of those errors as if there's no orders/positions to flatten. Shocked again! I disconnected and went to CQG mobile and notice that my position that filled by Sierra was still active. So I exit the position in CQG mobile.
Connect back to Sierra and somehow there are still positions calculating in my trade activity log and I can't even "CLEAR" it. This is unacceptable. Image attached. Keep in mind that I have no positions on and the clear button isn't clickable.
There is obviously NO proper handshake between Sierra Chart and CQG position data. Unbelievable!
I keep checking for updates everyday.
No reply necessary just hoping to find the next update fixed this issue once and for all...

then it disappeared
We have had several reports lately where the CQG Position reporting is not always accurate. Refer to:
Trading Information Windows: Incorrectly Reported Trade Position Quantity

Also never never determine your position from the Trade Stats for Charts tab because that tab is very likely showing wrong information. But this is unrelated to the issue. You need to understand how that works:
Trade Activity Log: Trade Statistics for Charts (Chart Stats) Tab

Try using the CQG Web API service rather than the CQG FIX connection. This can be changed through Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service. There is nothing more we can do from our side.

We are working on a new solution to replace CQG. And other supported services.

Also based on user feedback we do think that using the CQG Web API service instead of CQG FIX will solve the problem.
