Hi, Is there any way to build an option to allow auto save per x interval?

Thanks

You can auto save Chartbooks with this setting:
General Settings Window: Auto-Save Chartbooks and Spreadsheets (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Charts >> Chartbooks)

My PC reboots automatically from time to time to install updates overnight (separate issue which I'm working on). However when i restated SC this morning my work from the previous 2 days was lost. AutoSaveChartbooks is set to 15min using the setting described above. Can you advise why the chartbooks would not have been saved to prevent this lost work.

Look at the modified date-time of your Chartbook in the Windows file manager and see if it actually was saved. If it was saved, then it was saved. There simply is no possibility of anything going wrong here. It is definitely very fair for us to put the blame on the operating system or a user misunderstanding if something is going wrong in regards to this. The saving of Chartbooks is very very reliable. There simply is no room for anything to go wrong unless the files are set to read-only. And in that case there would be an error message logged in the Window >>Message Log indicating this.

There are backup Chartbook's available:

Well, all I can tell you is it didn't save, as the work I had done had disappeared.

I'll continue to monitor. Unfortunately modified date/time has now updated since restart to current date/time and seems to be working properly. Is there a log in SC that records each time it saves open chartbooks?

There is a line added to the Window >> Message Log if there is an error saving the file.

We are putting the fault on the operating system at this point . This simply does not fail whatsoever within Sierra Chart.
