Hi
I want to use this on intraday charts, just the average price. I currently use the VWAP but I just would like a line thats only the average price or mid. Is there an indicator that can do this? ( sorry but hope you can tell by my question I am not a high end user) Thank you .
Ron

There are many moving average studies for this. Just have a look at Moving Average-Simple:

I can't see how that works. I have been trying MA's .First I am not able to reset it at the start of trading. It is giving me the high and low of a specific bar, what I need is the average of the highest bars high and the lowest bars low in the series and ignoring anything else until a new high or low comes in,. If price immediately hit 24 and a low of 20 then stayed in between for 4 hours it would be a straight line at 22. The moving average needs a lookback which changes the output. Does this make sense? thank you

Is what you are looking for the Daily OHLC study?:

It can be set to draw the high and low incrementally throughout the day and display a midpoint line.

Alternatively:
You need to use a combination of studies to accomplish this. There are a number of ways to accomplish this same result. Attached to this post is a Studies Collection that uses the following studies to give you what you are asking for. In this case, it includes the following:
- High/Low for Time Period: This determines the Highest High and the Lowest Low for the day.
- Study Subgraphs Add: This adds together the Highest High and the Lowest Low at each bar.
- Study Subgraph Divide: This divides the result of the addition by 2 to give the average.

In order to use this Study Collection, follow the instructions here:
Study Collections: Using a Study Collection Provided by Sierra Chart Support

In general, the documentation for the studies can be found here:
