Renko Bars are no longer being created!

Hi,

Since a few days and maybe this problem has been around for longer (!) I can not make Renko Bars anymore. I have tested it extensively but it does not work. Sierra Chart freezes. I worked with version 1641 and updated to the latest version but that did not help either. Then I downloaded an old version 1598 and then suddenly it was working well again!

Strange that no one has reported this so far, I noticed it a few days ago but did not pay any attention to it at that time. Today I wanted to make new Renko Bars again and the problem is still there.

Will you please solve this problem as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

Update Sierra Chart to the current version following the instructions here:

If you still have a problem, we need to know the symbol of the chart, and the specific Renko bar settings you are using. We may also need to get the Chartbook you are using.

Otherwise, we do not know about an issue like this. We have not heard of it before and have never encountered it ourselves.

It also could be due to a data error in the underlying data. Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download".

Like I said, it is weird because if I use an old version of SierraChart by example 1598 or 1626 I don't have any problems creating Renko Bars. From version 1641 till the current version 1651 SierraChart freezes as soon as I try to create Renko's. For me it is obvious that the problem is because of updating a newer version of SC. What else could it be?

Please, try it yourself. I am working with CFD's.

1. New Chartbook
2. Find Symbol (US30 | US Dow Jones index) Open Intraday Chart
3. SierraChart is making a 1M Chart
4. F5 and choose Renko Bar
5. Bar period Time (Renko Bar in ticks)
6. Choose 10

SierraChart freezes. As said, sorry again for repeating, if I use an older version by example 1626 everything goes well.

This is a very unusual case and is out of the ordinary.

We are able to reproduce it.

It has to do with the fact that the symbol uses fractional ticks.

Also, Sierra Chart could not be freezing unless your computer is significantly underpowered. What happens is that the chart never finishes loading.

OK, I wait for a solution. What about this :

It has nothing to do with this but I am sure you don't mean that specifically in my case.
My computer is certainly not under powered, I am using an SSD with 8Gb memory and a 4 core fast CPU processor.
It is also weird because when I am using an older version, by example 1626 everything works well.

Please keep me informed.
