I am using TT FIX adapter as my data feed and the data in my charts is not streaming live. If I right click on my chart and select "Delete and Download Data" The price updates, but if I do not do this, it shows the last printed price and continues not to update.

I am wondering if there is a setting I missed or need to update... I looked at my chart interval update under general settings and I have it set at 1000. Other than this I am not sure what to do.

I apologize... what I am doing is going to File > Find Symbol and selecting from the list of symbols given. When I open up a list of the files I see the orange box with "symbol is unknown Click for symbol information" . Even though this message pops up, I still see price data displayed, the data just does not update real time.

The list that displays in the "Find Symbols" list should be all the products I have access to through TT, correct?

OK then this confirms that the server is not recognizing the market data requests.

What you are receiving is a Market Data Reject message from the server. Could you have Advantage Futures check the FIX Adapter logs and look at the Market Data Reject messages for your account to determine why this is occurring. Then the problem can be resolved. They may contact TT to do this.

I just got off the phone with TT and this is the e-mail I was sent and was told to contact you guys with this information:

To recap, we turned ON price logging on the Order Routing FIX Adapter that Andrew was connected to using his FIX Application. We then got Andrew to bring up new charts; CL Jun13 and HG May13. This was the output of the price loggings.

As explained, we do not see any Market Data Requests (Tag 35=V) from the price loggings. All we saw were heartbeats (Tag 35=0). Craig has also confirmed that he has not received any reports from other traders who are actively routing orders via this FA. Andrew will be escalating this further with his FIX Application vendor. "

Cannot think of any reason why the market data requests would not be sent. Never heard of a case were that has occurred. Maybe the FIX adapter is only set up for orders and not market data.

I think you might be correct. I am given view-only privilege for this, I am told by our IT staff that literally everyone else using Advatange's FIX adapter is trading with it.

This is now resolved. Please update by selecting Help >> Download Current Version.

You will need to reopen the charts using the correct symbols or change the symbol through Chart >> Chart Settings for existing charts.

When you go to File >> Find Symbol you will need to add the appropriate suffix after the CME exchange. As was mentioned in the call, for high-grade copper you need to add -F

Example:
HG-201305-CME-F

Thanks. Everything is working except for ICE feeds. The server ICE data is on is ICE_IPE-A, I edited that in the chart settings window and this is what comes up in the message log.

Currently no data in file to display. Will start historical data download and real-time updates. File: C:\SierraChart\Data\IPE e-Brent-May13-ICE_IPE-A.scid | 2013-04-04 13:52:56


After this, the chart goes blank. I waited for a minute and nothing showed up. I can't right click on the chart to bring up a menu to go into chart settings and I just end up closing out the chart.

OK, We will have to work on ICE symbols. Please allow us another day.

We have always worked with FIX Adapters where these exchange suffixes are not used.

The ICE issue must be related to the latest update. I had the problem another user had with not being able to log on after installing v961. We both have the same broker, I can tell by the user name, so it's the Trading Tech data. I have another computer running v959, no problems with ICE. Hope this helps. In case you don't know, TT shuts down 5p CDT Fri and starts back Sun eve around 3-4p CDT.

Support for ICE_IPE symbols with a suffix will be in version 962 coming out over the weekend.

This has already been released as a new revision of 961. Please update by selecting Help >> Download Prerelease. We are still working on historical data though. That will be done by the end of the day.
