Hello SC Support,

I am trying to open a chart and a DOM for this symbol but I just get the following message:

“Symbol Error: Unknown symbol with ID 100036 is unknown, unavailable, or improperly formatted.”

My data feed for stocks is from IB.

The symbol I need to open a chart is EOA (The company is E.ON, from Germany).

The exchange I use for this symbol is CHIXDE.

So, I open a chart then follow the instructions provided in this link (http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/IBSymbols.html#Stock) and insert the following symbol:

EOA-STK-CHIXDE

When I click apply I just get that mentioned message and I can’t figure out why.

The symbol is working perfectly with TWS and Ninja Trader (with NT the symbol is EOA|CHIXDE).

Could you please give me some instructions?

Thanks in advance.

Use EOA-STK-SMART-EUR

Also try this one:

EOA-STK-IBIS-EUR

Thank you for your reply.

I can't use the SMART or IBIS routing because I am not subscribed to other European exchanges that not CHI-X exchange (CHIXDE for Germany DAX30, CHIXEN for France CAC40, etc.)

So, as I have to rout my orders and feed through this exchange I tried EOA-STK-CHIXDE-EUR but the result is the same, it doesn't work.

As I mentioned in my first post I had to change it to EOA|CHIXDE to get it to work with Ninja Trader and it is working fine.

But now that I'm abandoning NT I need to have stocks working with SC as well.

Anyway, I just found out that the same is happening with US stocks too through SMART routing. The charts simply don't load.

Any other suggestions, please?

We now have this problem resolved. This will be solved in the next release coming out this weekend.

Look for version 1022.
