Hi,

When I look in Global Settings\General settings\Alerts it should be possible to use your Twitter account for receiving messages. However I tried this https://twitter.com/vfr750_NL and @vfr750_NL.
vfr750_NL is my twitter account. In both cases the message from the system was : Alert email error. The email adres is not valid... I am aware this is not an email address but it should be possible using your Twitter account to receive alert messages. In any case, SierraChart is telling me this ;-)

We need to prepare documentation for how to use Twitter.

We will update the error message to be "You have entered a Twitter username but did not enable Twitter on the Account Control Panel".

It's working well, awesome. I have tested with a replay but...............for me personally it would be great if these Twitter messages can appear as a normal Tweet. I mean no DM. If so people can follow me and my signals and I can protect my Tweets if I want. Please, can you do that?

Sierra,
Will the alert sent out to twitter be the alert selected in the general settings or the alert from the study itself?

Based on the question there is a misunderstanding. Are you referring to the Alert Number? The study would control this.

Ok.. thanks...I have a bunch of enabled study alerts and would only want the enabled alert for the actual trade signal itself to be sent out to twitter.

OK then just use a particular Alert Number that you want to use for Twitter messages. This is controllable for each Alert Number.

Done, I also configure my account for twitter use per your documentation.

But I'm also receiving the error message to be "You have entered a Twitter username but did not enable Twitter on the Account Control Panel".

Maybe the process is still being configured at Sierra. So I will wait until you post back the process is completed and ready for use.

I was also wondering ,if it is possible to send signal data to a web page?
ie: https://website.com\data.aspx

Instead of a twitter account.

Thanks

I'm a little curious about the progress to be able to receive the tweets as a normal twitter message. The message I'm still receiving now as a DM Twitter there is a whole lot of text that I really don't want. Is there a way that I have any influence on that? Because it does not matter if I unchecked or checked the Include Alert Name and / or Alert comment boxes. I want only the name of the underlying asset, Price, Time and LONG or SHORT. That's all. All the other is irrelevant

Or even better, provide a window/form that we can check off what information we want to include in the tweet relating to the specific alert .This will take a little more work on the part of Sierra, but it will allow their customers to have control regarding what data is sent out.

Currently there is no way to customize the particular Alert Message sent from a study.

When do you think we can receive the Twitter messages as a normal tweet instead of now receiving as a DM twitter message?

To set a Twitter message as public, this can now be done here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=Twitter

I was also wondering ,if it is possible to send signal data to a web page?
ie: https://website.com\data.aspx

Instead of a twitter account.
In regards to this, you need to use this functionality:
sc.MakeHTTPRequest()

Twitter Public message is working well too. Great! But unfortunately there isn't any difference between checking or unchecking the 2 boxes for the email alert name notification or email comment notification.... It would be awesome if I can choose what I want people can see........

But unfortunately there isn't any difference between checking or unchecking the 2 boxes for the email alert name notification or email comment notification.

These are documented here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/GeneralSettings.html#IncludeAlertNameInAlertEmail

Is the functionality of these options working different than the documentation exactly as explained? We would expect the functionality to work precisely as documented. And in your case we would not expect any significant difference in the message output.

English is not my mother language. Your manuals and explanations are very good, that's not the point but these ones are overwhelming me sometimes and I am sure I am not the only one.

Maybe it is possible what I want but I have tried so many but I didn't succeed. Maybe you can help me? Please, look at the image. In the alert I am receiving I don't want the text "ID:7 DAX (GER30 Renko 3t #8 Heikin-Ashi)". I have tried in settings the Short name and I tried to change the name in cell A1 of the spreadsheet but that's not allowed....

OK, we will just include the short name only for the study name in the alert message.
