Hello,

This is a newbie question but I have searched the website and can't seem to find the answer. Can someone please tell me how I can export time and sales data including studies? I.E. if I wanted to download an EMA and oscillator included with the time and sales data?

Thank you for the help.

Set the chart bars to 1 Number of Trades Per Bar. Refer to:
Chart Settings: Time Period Per Bar / Amount of Data Per Bar (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period menu)

Add the studies and then export the data following these instructions:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Export Bar and Study Data to Text File

Should the chart bar settings read 1-0-0?

Also, I can download the data but it doesn't show the studies, is there some box that should be checked to make this distinction?

No. The Bar Period Type needs to be set to Number of Trades Per Bar with a setting of 1.

Here are instructions to use studies:

If I set the bar period Type to "Number of Trades Per Bar" and "1" I get the same data when exporting, on just a much smaller time frame. It does not export the EMA.

I am simply trying to download a 5 minute chart with a 10 period EMA. Is there a basic way to perform that task?

We do not think we understand really what you want to do.

Based on this last message, set the chart bars to 5 minutes per bar. And specifically use this command to export the data:

Edit Menu: Edit >> Export Bar and Study Data to Text File (Export Bar and Study Data to Text File)

Thank you for the reply. When I use the instructions provided above(Export Bar and Study Data to Text File). It downloads the following information:

Date, Time, Open, High, Low, Last, Volume, # of Trades, OHLC Avg, HLC Avg, HL Avg, Bid Volume, Ask Volume, Avg, Stop

I have a 10 period EMA on the chart, but it does not provide a value for that EMA for the corresponding time period.

Can this be done?

The moving average value is Avg. It is the Subgraph name for the Moving Average - Exponential study.
