Different audible alerts on different studies

Hi - with clients now running more than one study, I am asked how to apply a different alert sound to each study. I have tried a variety of methods but it always reverts back to Alert 1. The study developer is away and I was wondering if this was something that was coded into the study or was it something that could be set up in Sierra - because I cannot make it work! There are similar issues with email alerts - the only setting appears to be global, and if a user just wants an email alert on a particular study and not another study based on 5 min charts (too many emails) we cannot figure out how to do that either.
Any pointers to resolving this?

Really, the developer will need to let us know how the alert is implemented in the study.

They need to support all of the available Alert Numbers which is 150.

Also you say the study developer is away. These days, no one is really ever away and can be reachable by various communications methods especially someone who is technically oriented and is a programmer. Hard to believe they are completely unavailable. You cannot reach them at all?

He's just been slower than usual in responding so I thought he might be on vacation. I was really trying to find out whether this was at study level or just via SC - sounds like something that might need to be implimented in the study.

It probably is something implemented in the study, but from our perspective we do not know.

Our developer says he added an input field into the study settings to select an alert sound - which I have already seen and tried - but when you select, say, alert2 and set that up in Global Settings it just doesn't work.
Now, I'm just the support guy and cannot authorise paying the developer to find the issue here - so unless you guys have any ideas I'm just gioing to tell the user it cannot be done.

When you set the study to use Alert 2 and the alert is triggered, go to Window >> Alert Manager >> Alerts and see what alert number is specified in the alert line.

If it is other than 2, then the study is not working properly.

Hi - one further question regarding alerts - is it possible to suppress the alert manager so it won't open unless manually activated? We've tried Global > General > Gen 2 > uncheck 'Show alerts log on study alert' but that was off by default anyway. Is there another route or is it something else coded into the study?
Thanks

We checked and a study does have the ability to open the Alerts Log when it triggers an alert sound and message.

So this is programmed in the study.
