Hi, I don t know if it possible, when I add an alert with Symbol alert I would like to get on the chart a line indicating the price or a little mark next to the price label as shown on the attached picture. I set a lot of Symbol Alert for many symbols and for a same symbol I can get 10-20 Symbol alert. It is pretty hard to follow all my alerts with Alert manager. A line or a small mark on a chart would be more effective and practicable than alert manager. Ps: I use Symbol alert and not horizontal line with an alert because I don t want to have an chart for each symbol I set an alert. Really the only way to do this is to use a study. You would need to use the Line study for this. Thank you for you suggestion. I tried it but it is similar to set an alert with an horizontal line having an alert: each symbol has to get an open chart which it is highly inconvenient. A sensibble solution would be to add option to get a mark/line with alert set with Symbol Alert I know you have a lot of work, but could it be possible to consider adding this feature?

We most definitely cannot take any new suggestions now. We do not have time to get to this for years. Really there is another way you can do this. What do you find easier to use, the Line study to set an alert, or using the Horizontal Line drawing tool? And we will explain how to do this using either one of those. I'm looking for the same feature and running into the same challenges, primarily that the chart has to be open for the alert to trigger. I have a couple of ideas: 1. I created a horizontal line with an alert. Then I created a new chart who's express purpose is to duplicate the drawings on the other chart. I then changed the symbol on the original chart, the new chart shows all the horizontal line with alerts, which is the behavior I want. But when price crosses the horizontal line with the alert, the alert is not triggered, because the original chart has opened a different symbol. Close. Is there a setting or something that I might be missing to make it work? 2. Is there a way to access/create Symbol Alerts programatically? Didn't see anything in the documentation. If so, I could build a study to make this feature work

1. It is not completely clear what you are doing, but Chart Drawing Alerts do not work when they are copied to another chart. They will only work on the original chart. 2. Actually, as we think about it, the solution we were thinking probably does not give you everything that you require. The general idea is to add a Line or Horizontal Ray drawing for each symbol by changing the chart to that symbol and drawing the line. I have already ShowchartDrawingsFordifferentsymbol unchecked. I may misunderstand your suggestion, but alerts will not be triggered unless there are in Intraday File Update List. I was thinking of another solution: Could it be possible to get all symbols in the quote board updating automatically or get an option to merge different Symbol Lists because there are a lot "List" to deal with...: - Quote Board - Symbol List for the Quote Board - Symbol List for Intraday File Update List etc.. I could manage a list in a chartbook with all symbols I have an alert set from drawings (ray or horizontal line). In that way, all symbols in the quote board will be updating and then alerts from drawings could be evaluated. thanks,

Let me rephrase my question/suggestion: an alternative solution to my first post request: could you make possible to evaluate drawings alert with quotebard, ie: symbols which have drawings alert AND are in the quoteboard could get evalued without having the chart containing drawings alert open? For example, I set an alert with a ray line for AAPL in a chart. I change to another symbol. But I put APPL in the quoteboard. Without having the chart containing the ray line open on AAPL, alert from the ray line could get evaluated given AAPL is in the quoteboard. Given it seems difficult to implement a mark/line on a chart for Symbol alert (my 1st request), this feature could be a great alternative... implementing one of these proposed feature will be greatly appreciated

A Chart Drawing alert will be evaluated only if the chart it was drawn on, is currently open, and the original Symbol the Chart Drawing was drawn on matches the current Symbol of the chart, or if Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings 2 >>Show Chart Drawings for Different Symbols is enabled.
