I'm looking for the same feature and running into the same challenges, primarily that the chart has to be open for the alert to trigger. I have a couple of ideas: 1. I created a horizontal line with an alert. Then I created a new chart who's express purpose is to duplicate the drawings on the other chart. I then changed the symbol on the original chart, the new chart shows all the horizontal line with alerts, which is the behavior I want. But when price crosses the horizontal line with the alert, the alert is not triggered, because the original chart has opened a different symbol. Close. Is there a setting or something that I might be missing to make it work? 2. Is there a way to access/create Symbol Alerts programatically? Didn't see anything in the documentation. If so, I could build a study to make this feature work |
