Hello Sierra, could you please ask CTS what might have happened? I left an overnight long YM position but it didn't show up on my Sierra Chart platform on the opening of the new day, so I assumed it had automatically closed for some reason. I called my broker (Dorman) to close my position, and they told me that they sold 1 YM contract to close my position, but on my platform I can see this short position with an open profit/loss, it seems like it is a live position.

1) Could you please check and see that I am out of the market? Dorman told me not to close this short position until they straighten it out with the CTS guys, but can you also check for safety (that I'm out of the market basically, if you can do it somehow)?

2) Can you please check whether something can have gone wrong in the connection with CTS, or if the problem is coming from CTS directly? I mean about overnight positions not showing for some reason.

1. We currently show that there are no open positions in your account. However, it is important always to confirm this with the CTS T4 platform or through your account on the CTS website.

2. There should not be any problem with the connection. All position updates are received and passed through to the users.

Would be best that CTS provides an explanation. Do you want us to contact them about this?

We do see this order with this text description: CTS order update (Rejected). Info: UnSolicited from T4Screen 192.168.90.181:49706 Pit Update | New order originated from external service

I thought I couldn't actually access the CTS T4 platform without paying 20$ extra. Other than that, it would be good if you could contact them, just to ask them about correctly showing overnight positions on Sierra chart. The order that you saw it probably ok, as I said they closed my long position with a short, but it was showing as a live position on my screen. And they probably closed it with a virtual order.

Dorman have confirmed with me I am flat right now.

From looking at the log file it looks clear that CTS was sending through a Position Quantity for the YM futures contract you were trading, of 0. But there are many of these messages and we need to know specifically what time and time zone you are referring to here:
on the opening of the new day

For the record, we cannot be in a position where we are relied on to respond to a trading issue urgently. You need to rely upon your broker and the CTS web portal:
https://cts.t4login.com/livetrader/login.aspx

When we developed this new CTS connection model, it was developed consideration to the fact that users have an alternative way to access their account so there is not an absolute reliance Sierra Chart systems.

You should be able to login and access your account that way and see your positions.

If you notice a discrepancy, between what you see in Sierra Chart and the account data through T4 Web trader, then let us know and we will look into it.

By opening of the new day I mean the actual market opening on the 29th. That was when my order disappeared.

Absolutely, I contacted Dorman first, but also asked you just to confirm that there weren't any open positions.

By the way I don't seem to be able to connect to the webtrader you sent me, I will have to check with my broker I assume.

Yes check with your broker because you should be able to log into the web trader/portal.

Can you confirm that you had a position in June YM at this time in US Eastern time: 2017-03-28 17:27:33.793

If so we will let CTS know about this.

I checked back with them, I have to pay 25$ extra to be able to check on any CTS platform. Are you aware of some other way of checking positions live with them?

We checked the agreement with CTS and if you use their web trader, there is no additional cost unless you submit an order.

And there is only a higher per trade cost of USD.50 per contract.

The 25 USD per month only applies to their desktop program.
