Hi

I have previously agreed a 6 week trial of Sierra Charts (FutexLive)for our students. Stage5 will provide the real-time data from a CQG feed and Sierra will provide the Charts and Historiacl data. There will be 3 of them looking to use this facility for now with hopefully more to follow. The one question not covered is how I get the trainees to sign up for this offer/facility.

If they just open the account and apply for your standard trial how will you know they should get the 6 weeks?

Can you please advise

do I give that to each of them individually or do I need to do it? I prefer them as we are merely trying to introduce them to you as a client.

We still have seen no request from you requesting the special link. You need to make that request here:

https://www.sierrachart.com/usercp.php?page=SupportTickets

Why have you not made the request?

Thanks for the link

I understand that we have the charts for 6 weeks and the live data feed is coming from elsewhere. Is it possible to have a simulator to trade on for 6 weeks as well? Both charting and Trading to use the same live data feed to be supplied by Stage5.

Hi Please see the trail.

One of the Simulator users is receiving a message that her trial expires in 4 days. As above she has a 6 week trial. Does she need to do anything to make sure it doesn't expire or should she ignore the warning?

They never contacted us. That we are certain of. There is simply no Account Support Ticket from them. Why did they not contact us? We have temporarily activated their account for now. They will need to contact us about this.

And furthermore, when we asked you to start an Account Support Ticket more than two weeks ago to request a special link for the trials, you never contacted us either.

Hi. I note your tone seems to want to tell us off but I will ignore that.

We recieved the special link for the trails - (Hello,

The following link will provide your users with a 6 week trial:

(Link removed)

That is the link that Jinyang used to generate her account reference 231528. So I have the link, we used the one you asked, you generated her acoount from that contact.

I am not sure why you are telling us off??

We are just simply saying that we were not contacted by that user. There is the unlikely possibility, that somehow there may have been a communication problem at the time they submitted the support ticket or possibly some other technical issue, but those are unlikely conditions.

Also, because you did not contact us requesting the link through an Account Support Ticket, a few days later we went ahead and send it to you by email. But we are wondering why were never contacted through the ticket system when we requested that twice.

Either you or them need to start a new Support Request on this Support Board and provide us the Message Log following these instructions:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#MessageLog

There is nothing that we can tell from our side without the Message Log.

Also keep in mind that we cannot be relied upon for rapid resolution to connection problems since we do not control those.

We suspect their CQG demo account is expired.

Hi

Further to our trials previously agreed (as above) we would like to arrange a similar thing. We have 4 students and we would like to give them each a 6 week simulator on Sierra including Sierra charts. They would all need access to CME, CBOT and Eurex. Can you please confirm they can have the trial with the necessary data. Please also confirm the data cost per terminal (assuming first 2 weeks is free).

Previously I was given a link to pass to students so they can get access. Please confirm the cost and provide a link please.

Thanks
Mark

There is no problem providing Sierra Chart for 6 weeks.

The difficulty is with the market data. Refer to the pricing here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#Pricing

While there is a two week trial, that costs 5 USD and it would be easiest just to go ahead and activate the standard non-trial data feed so you do not have to reactivate it after two weeks.

And also refer to this section here in regards to CME data:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#UnderstandingAccessingDataFromCME

Ok. They can have Sierra Charts and a simulator for free for 6 weeks but they need to pay for the live data (via a funded trading account)or get a feed elsewhere. Is that correct?

If so can you can you send me a link for the charts and simulator so they can use that now with the delayed data. I will see what they want to do about live data.

We have a funded trading account. Can they be linked to that for the data fees so they dont all need accounts that are funded?

Yes they can have Sierra Chart free for six weeks.

Regarding the data feed, Sierra Chart does provide a data feed, but the CME exchange fees are higher if there is not a funded trading account with a supported broker as explained here:

http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#UnderstandingAccessingDataFromCME

Yes, we will give this to you later today once we verify the link.

No, and please do not ask these kinds of questions. The exchanges are never going to tolerate anything like this.

Looks like it is working using a 2 week trial for the live data (rather than delayed). Once the 2 weeks it up he wants to be able to pay for the live data for the last 4 weeks. Should he do that directly with you or go through a broker like AMP? Presumably he will need to fund the account to get the lower fees.

Please advise
